Yes you can block me, however I am simply pointing out that you are a troll. It is obvious, you have done nothing but troll since you opened your account. Please find something better to do with your time.

Were you forced to spend two hours of your time? Or did you do it willingly?

    250 pounds lost!

I can’t believe you have had so much success with so little effort. I think setting little goals like that is a good thing, when you try to push yourself too hard is when you get discouraged and fail.
  5. I think the surgeons really oversell the “you won’t feel hunger” thing. Also, there will be plenty of people on here to tell you that you aren’t really hungry, it is all in your head aka head hunger. Let me tell you, I was starving the morning after surgery and ravenous for days following surgery. Does the hunger ever go away? No I do not believe it does. Your stomach can simply hold less than it used to and you have to make smart decisions as to what you are putting in your stomach.

Online dating - shady or no?

I met my wife on Match.com 9 years ago, so it definitely works. Stay away from the free sites like Plenty of Fish or OK Cupid this will help to weed out losers. Be very picky of who you go out with. Be very up front about what you are looking for. You may have to have a few bad first dates before you meet someone you want to pursue a relationship with.

    800 Calories Per Day

Hello Peeps, I have a female friend from church that was sleeved around the same time as me. She has lost a ton of weight and looks like a totally different person. I asked her how she has been been so successful, is it diet? or exercise? counting calories? counting carbs? She told me that she only counts her calories and that she only takes in 800 calories per day. How is that even possible? I dont understand how you can take in that few of calories and not be hungry throughout the day. What do you guys think about that? Doesnt that seem like it would be hard to do?

    Anti depressants post op

I was able to take my psych meds literally the morning after surgery, I had VSG. If you are taking any extended release, you cannot crush those so you will need to be able to take them whole. I think it all depends on what your doctor says and what your stomach can handle. I didn’t realize so many of us suffer from so many mental issues. I suffer from Major Depressive Disorder and OCD. If anyone feels like talking feel free to DM me, or we can exchange email addresses if you would like. It might be nice to talk to someone with similar issues as mine. My wife was sleeved 2 months before me, but she doesn’t suffer from any mental issues like I do.

    I shaved my head...

Have you had WLS yet? My wife had the sleeve and she didn’t have any hair loss. I think it affects everyone differently. Don’t freak yourself out just yet, maybe you won’t experience any hair loss?

    Recreational Drugs

If the OPs intent was to find out about drugs affecting the sleeve, I would say the two biggest to worry about would be weed and alcohol. Once your stomach is reduced in size, I have heard the alcohol hits you way faster and way harder. Weed would of course make you get the munchies which could lead to overeating and making yourself sick or stretching your sleeve. I can’t see any other drugs really causing a problem. Then again, anything you have to swallow could be a problem benzodiazepines and opiodes things of that nature. Here’s an idea, don’t do drugs and you will be fine. If you drink, limit it to 1 or 2 drinks and stop. There, I have solved this problem for everyone.

    Happy with my decision!!!

Holy Cats Man, you were large and in charge. Can totally see a big difference. Keep up the good work.

    Recreational Drugs

No worries mate. I am very open about my alcoholism and drug addiction. I forgot to mention I do work a program of recovery and hit one AA meeting a week. I also suffer from Major Depressive Disorder and OCD, I find its better to be open about these things as maybe my experiences can help others.

Bring it fool. I ain’t scared of you. I would literally rather eat dirt than eat kale.

Can we all just agree that kale sucks? No matter how you prepare it, it still sucks.

    Recreational Drugs

Coke is like this, you will feel fantastic for like an hour and then you have to do more, I was starting to use coke in addition to my drinking when I finally hit bottom and got sober. I am an alcoholic to the core, so I simply have to abstain from drinking. Having said that, I am an addict too and cannot use any form of drug or I will abuse it even something as simple as Benadryl. I will abuse anything that makes me feel good, hence my food addiction. I am a food addict and that is what led me to getting up to 440 pounds. Food was the only thing I had left to abuse. I was 9 years sober when I got sleeved and 3 months after getting sleeved I relapsed and almost died. Like literally almost died, my wife had to call 911 and I had to be taken to the ER. Why did this happen? I didn’t protect my sobriety and once I couldn’t abuse food anymore my alcoholism and drug addiction came back with a vengeance. I am sober today by the grace of God and very fortunate I did not die the night I relapsed.

    Recreational Drugs

I am looking for advice, I am 16 months out and on New Year’s Eve I ate 4 hits of acid and an 1/8th of magic shrooms and I smoked like 3 blunts of some dank azz chronic and I blew a bunch of lines of cocaine and I bonged like 14 beers and today I feel like sh*t. Did I damage my sleeve?

    HELP

Oh man, you need to seek professional help. Psychologist? Therapist? Support group? Something. That is a serious disorder, keeping quiet about it is not the answer. Which would be worse, to be slightly overweight again or to be dead?
  19. Hmmm, here’s the thing, he could say that he was trying to prevent GERD and that is why he left your sleeve bigger than normal. He could say there where indications that you would have “complications” if he used a normal size bougie. Like others have said, I am not a lawyer but that is simply my take on it. As far as the hospital goes, good luck getting them to waive the cost of surgery. This is all big business and someone is getting rich off it.

Almost a year out and I'm very concerned

Yeah, it’s funny I wish I had done bypass. However, there is only so much the surgery can do for us. If we do not change our mentality and our eating habits we will not be successful.

I am in the same boat as you only I had gastric sleeve. I lost 110 pounds and have since put 20 back on. I believe you already know the answer to your problems, you are eating too much and eating the wrong foods. That is my problem and I have no problem admitting that. As far as stretching your pouch, I would say it probably has stretched to a certain extent but will never be as big as your stomach was pre surgery. As far as food addiction, it sounds like you are showing signs of that. I am a food addict for sure, I will abuse food like a drug. I see food as a reward or a treat or an escape, I do not see it as simply fuel for my body. I am considering going back to Overeaters Anonymous but haven’t yet.
  23. Sorry you are having a rough time. It’s odd because I had the sleeve and I wish I had gotten bypass. The grass is always greener I suppose.

    Help!!!! I’m hungry 😀

I was starving the morning after surgery. Once I was on full liquids I took Campbell’s chunky soup and put it in the blender and made it into a full liquid. That really helped me. Try to hang in there, it will get easier.

    800 Calories Per Day

Unfortunately I had a falling out with my surgeons office due to them screwing me and charging me three times the amount we agreed upon would be my out of pocket. Haven’t been back to see him since 3 months after surgery.
