    Not a magic fix..............

I agree with OP. I am only about a month out and it has been very hard. Food was my escape, my friend, my comfort, my drug of choice, my stress reliever. I am having to learn to deal with my emotions without food and it is very hard. Surgery is not a quick fix. As I said in a previous post, surgery was actually the easy part. Everything since surgery has been way harder than I had anticipated. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

    TOMORROW IS THE BIG DAY!!!

Good luck my friend. Will pray for you. Ironically, I was also very stressed about the IV. Once it was in, I felt better but was still nervous. I told the anesthesiologist I was scared and he gave me something to relax. Then they put the mask on, I prayed and prayed until I was under. Glad it's over. Let's talk protein shakes ?!

I used to love Premier, but since the sleeve they go right through me. I mean literally. I enjoy Quest now. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Moderate Sleep Apnea

It still has a head gear piece, but the pillows just basically plug into your nostrils. It is much more comfortable than a full mouth and nose mask. I would talk to your bariatric surgeon about if it will delay you or not. I just had to bring my cpap the day of surgery so I could wear it in recovery. Moderate Sleep Apnea

I have sleep apnea, it didnt cause a delay with my surgery. It is a comorbidity and could actually help your insurance approval. I don't wear a mask, I use nasal pillows and they aren't bad. I am sure you will feel better once you get your cpap. I was stopping breathing 60 times an hour before my cpap. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Ready to start dating

I think it depends on the guy. I have dated women of all kinds of body types, but have typically been attracted to thicker girls. I always loved curves and big boobs. I would never shame a woman because of her "rolls" or "cellulite" There are some shallow douchebags out there that might not want a second date with a woman because of her size. Like others have said, I probably wouldn't bring up WLS until after a few dates. Fortunately for me, my wife and I were sleeved together. Feel free to PM me if I can be of any further help. 9. It's the dialog. You have to pay close attention to the dialog, that's why it is a classic. The scene where Walter pulls the gun on Smokey for stepping over the line is done so well. John Goodman actually looks insane. And yes Walter is an a*****e and a terrible friend, but that's why it is so funny. Why would anyone be friends with such an a*****e? The whole thing about Walter watching his ex wife's dog while she is in Hawaii with her boyfriend, hilarious. "You brought a Pomeranian bowling?" "What do you mean brought it bowling? I'm not buying it a f*cking beer, I'm not renting it f*cking shoes, he's not taking your f*cking turn Dude" It's funny. One of my all time favorite movies. My username is John Goodmans character from that film. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Hospital vs Outpatient

My wife and I both did. She thinks she could have benefitted from an overnight at the hospital. I was fine. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Officially post op now!

I was the same way. I could chug water without any issue the day after surgery. I was convinced my doctor made my sleeve too big. The entire time I was on liquids I felt like my sleeve was too big. Now that I am on soft foods, I am sure my sleeve is not too big. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

  18. Where do we do it on the website? I am not able to update my surgery section. How do we do it?
  19. I was sleeved 3 weeks ago. One thing I am struggling with is knowing when to stop eating. My brain doesn't realize my pouch is too full until it is too late. I end up eating about 3 more spoonfuls than I should. Then I am totally miserable and about to puke. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Do people actually date anymore?

I am sure dating has changed. I am 38 and met my wife seven years ago on Match.com I don't know anything about these dating apps. Just focus on yourself right now. These next few months are going to be hard while preparing for surgery. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

    im feaking out

I have noticed the same thing. The scale isn't budging but my body looks different. My shirts look too big now and my pants are literally falling off. I have to constantly pull them up at work. I fear the day I am not quick enough while walking to my desk and I end up standing there in my drawers. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

My Story: The Journey to Surgery

Do everything you can early on to get prepared. I didn't prepare enough before surgery and the change has been hard. I was so scared about surgery, that is all I thought about. I hadn't even thought about how hard life would be post surgery. I will hit you with a PM so we can chat some more. Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

My Story: The Journey to Surgery

Welcome Stephers. I hope things go smoothly for you I too was scared by the surgery you are having. I was sleeved 20 days ago. It has been very hard adjusting to life without all the food I used to abuse. I miss eating away all my stress, but I know that had to stop if I want to live. 8/25/17 sleeve updates

Don't weigh yourself, it will just discourage you. I weighed myself today and there has been no change in 4 days. I am going to stop weighing myself. Also, my dietician said to expect about 1.5 pounds per week.@BunneyGirl don't be too hard on yourself and give yourself some time. This is a marathon not a sprint.
