  1. I am almost 2 months post op and Since my pre op diet to now I have lost 48.1 pounds... have went down from 24/26 to 18/20 pants and shirts 3x-4x to 2x. My problem I still feel as big as I did when I started.. even tho I see some difference like fitting in chairs I still feel really big.... does anyone else feel this way?

Yes I get it all the time people tell me I don't look like myself when they see me. But when I look in the mirror I still see the hanging gut I still have man boobs the one thing I really notice a difference is my man parts seem to longer.

Im soooo tired of the clear liquid diet and im ready to add some more things to drink on my list but if i follow my dr recommendations it should only be in 3 days....how far along did u start ur full liquid diet?

I also have a continuous headache since the surgery altho i drink all my fluids....anyone had the same?

I had surgery on 3/15 and today I was released to full liquids and am able to drink Protein drinks now. However, I can't seem to get down more than 2 oz at a time and my diet plan says to get 4 oz for every meal. I've only gotten in about 4.5 oz all day. Did anyone else have this trouble in the beginning with trying to get your Protein in?

Also, any tips for getting enough fluids? I really don't want to get dehydrated.

yeah it gets better just hold on it gets better.

Had my VSG on 3/2/17; no problems thus far-unless you count clothes not fitting, LOL! Anyway, preparing to go on a 7day cruise the last week of April 2017; tried on some shorts that I've always taken on trips....Don't know why, but was shocked they were too big! Off to Target I went to get 3 pair of shorts. Normally wear a 14/16 women's/plus, so I tried a 12 women's/plus----guess what, THEY WERE TOO BIG!!!! I had to go into the misses/juniors; got a light denim in a misses 10, a dark denim in a misses 10, and a white pair in a misses 12 (different material)!!!!! WHAT A GREAT NSV TO START THE WEEK WITH!!!!!!

    Highest wt: 240lbs

    1st dr appt wt: 220lbs

    Day of surgery wt: 193.4lbs

    Current wt: 184.4lbs

    Goal wt: between 150-165lbs

    Have a great week everyone!!!!

Thats whats up do ya thing.

  7. I did not read all of the posting left by others but I cant stress enough to get your Protein and Water that your main goal make sure you are getting the recommended amount of protein and water and taking all of your Vitamins. and 4 day post op you but have a headache from coming down off your pain meds in the Hospital and the ones your on at home remember how the pain meds work the pain is there the meds just trick your brain to think that it is not. so once you stop meds your brain will go back to normal or try to and the change can and mos likely will result in a headache.

  8. Hey everyone!

I'm officially excited now for surgery! My friends and coworkers have been asking me for weeks if I was excited and I told them that I'm mentally preparing myself to be hungry and dehydrated the morning of. Now we're at the final hours and I'm stoked! Unfortunately, I don't think I lost a lot of weight before the surgetu. My last weigh in, I was down 10lbs. I've been on the Optifast 900 for 3 weeks. I work anywhere between 10-16hrs per day so it was hard to consume so little when I'm working for so long. It got better on the final week. Kind of wish I had more time. I hope it's enough and my surgery is a success! Wish me luck everyone! So glad to be a part of this community!
