On Monday I was 5 weeks post op. I am officially down 27lbs since my appt for surgery clearance and 21lbs down since the night before surgery. Reason I say I'm frustrated is i lost majority of this weight by 2 week post op. Now for the past 3 since I'm able to eat food I notice that my weight isn't coming off and if so it's super slow. I just got the ok to resume a regular diet and ok'd to start going to the gym. Hoping that with increasing my exercising that the weight will start peeling off again.
has anyone else struggled with plateauing and if so did it last this long for you. I have been stuck at 188.9-191.

in 9 post op days I lost 14lbs now I'm post op day 18 and have only lost 1 pound in 9 days. They advanced me to pureed/soft and now almost wanting you go back to full liquids to continue the nice weight loss. Has this happened to any other sleevers??? My surgery was Jan 30th.
just worries me that it's not gonna come off and I won't reach my goal!

I, too, had surgery one week ago. In U.S.A. I'm seeing where some lose so many 'stones' ????? Are stones a certain weight? So far, since liver diet, I've lost right at 20 lbs. Still on full liquid diet, craving something more solid too :-) Go for follow-up visit day after tomorrow. Feeling great, had NO pain at all, just sore.wow. you look amazing. I had surgery one week ago and had taken before pictures n for some reason they were gone from my phone so I had to redo them yesterday. which I'm down 11lbs since surgery. can't wait to see my 4 month post. Do you eat anything you want to now?

did you have to do the pureed diet for 3 weeks? It's very normal to be nervous about the surgery and what life will be like post-op. I think all of us go through a mix of nervousness and excitement.
As for some good puree ideas, this site has some good recipes (especially the baked ricotta!):

Was anyone scared or nervous for surgery? I'm not scared about the surgery I'd say the after surgery and not knowing what to eat and so on. I believe my biggest obstacle will be remembering to eat as I struggle with eating now due to my medication that I take that suppresses my appetite. I also work as a traveling night nurse. Anyone have suggestions on what is good "pureed" food and what you use for a Protein drink as I don't want to buy one that taste like chalk!

what workout regimen do you do and what do you use for your Protein drinks??? I get sleeved on MondayMy starting weight was 294. I am now 116. I NEVER thought I would be a 39 year old mom that can wear a size 0. I didn't seek that out as a goal, it just happened. My doctor gave me the goal of 135-145. I hit the top end of the goal in 9 months. It took about 3 months to lose the other 10 pounds. I started training for my first half marathon in July of last year and got down to 121 then. Even though I stayed the same weight, during that time I went from a size 6 to a size 2. I lost more weight after stopping birth control.
With all that said....how you look after is based on so many different factors. I lost 178 pounds, but have minimal excess skin. I know others that have lost 80 pounds and have LOTS of excess skin. I give credit to my workout regime in part. You cannot just do cardio, you must do weight training.
The hair loss. I experienced that starting the 3rd month through about the 9th month. It was minimal though. I have PCOS and experienced much worse before the surgery. I have been committed to getting my Protein and taking my Vitamins.
I agree with the others. Looking a certain way is still healthier than being obese or morbidly obese in my case.
