  1. Day 4 was horrendous for me. But I pushed through and I'm on day 5 now and doing much better. Hang in there. You can do this! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. I'm going to wear my nursing bras as long as possible. I just stopped nursing 2 weeks ago so they range from M,L,XL and a few 40DD. Hopefully I won't have to buy any in between sizes. I was a 36C pre-Pregency and I'm hoping to fit back into that size post-op. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  5. My surgery is the 31st. My testing is Tuesday. I haven't smoked cigs since December 8th. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. So I'm almost done with Day 5 and honestly I'm so proud of myself for not breaking. This is the first day I'm home all day while on my liquid diet. The kids were at grandmas too and I was so worried I was gonna break and just eat everything in site. But I didn't. Having shake 3 now. I save my last shake until literally right before bed to avoid waking up hungry at night. I downed about 6 Popsicles tho. Every Time I had the urge to eat something I ate a Popsicle. Down 9lbs since the 17th and that keeps me so motivated!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. I'm finishing up day 5 of my liquid only pre-op diet and it's getting easier. Drink your Protein shakes and you'll be fine. You don't feel hungry but mentally you'll crave everything. Just stay strong! Crystal light and sf Popsicles help tremendously. So does sf Jell-O. How many days is your liquid diet? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. That's great! I was told I had to quit six weeks before my pre-surgery testing. I used to smoke a pack a day for the past 20 years but I quit while pregnant (twice) so on my birthday I had a morning cig with coffee and said good bye to both smoking and caffeine. Best decision I ever made. I feel so much better and happier and my skin looks great. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. Your gallbladder is there as well. You should definitely go see a doctor asap. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. I have a fantastic cauliflower "pizza" recipe. My kids can't even tell there's no dough in there. If or when you move on to mushy veggies this would be perfect. It's 150 calories for 2 slices!! Basically it's just cauliflower, an egg, some parmesan and low fat cheese. You can put fresh tomatoes and basil in place of the sauce. Just realized that I'm still pre-op and idk if cauliflower is allowed post op. If it isn't I'm sorry. Just hang in there. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. On day 4 today, and it's getting better. Yesterday was rough! I'm so glad to have gotten through the day without breaking! I think it was more mental then anything else, but I was also physically exhausted and couldn't wait to just get some rest. on the plus side, I'm down 7 lbs since Tuesday, which is fantastic!! It's been a few months since I've been in the 260's so it definitely felt great. I'm getting a bit bored with the all liquid diet, I feel the need to break up the taste, so during lunch today I went around the health food stores and I found a bone broth with jalapenos at the Vitamin shoppe with 10 grams of Protein per cup. I just mix one cup of broth with one cup of Water and finally some flavorrrr is back in my diet! Only 10 more days to go until Surgery Day!! Woohoo!
  12. @@bill1130 are you taking pills or liquid vitamins?
  13. @orionburn Wow you're almost there! I'm just a few days after you, mine is scheduled for the 31st. I know, my kids are spending the weekend at grandmas, so I plan on sleeping the whole time! LOL
  14. @bill1130 I am on my second shake for the day and I did have half a yogurt (as per my plan) but I am not allowed to take any pills pre-op so I haven't had any Vitamins in 3 days.
  15. @orionburn Welcome! Reading your post just gave me hope. I'm on day 3 and feeling a bit out of sorts...I just have to keep trying to push through! What day is your surgery?
  16. @bill1130 I'm doing okay. It's not as bad as day 1 but I do feel a bit out of it. Groggy>? yea that's right I feel a bit groggy.
  17. How are you doing today Bill? It's getting easier, right? Can you have salad on your pre-op diet?
  18. Oh how cool!! Let's be sleeve buddies!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. Im on day 3 of the liquid pre-op diet. Started on the 17th, surgery on the 31st. Surprisingly not as hungry as I thought I'd be. I drink 3.5 or 4 premier shakes a day, 1 serving of yogurt too. The yogurt helps!! I can have a 8oz glass of skim-milk but I've never really liked milk by itself. I'd say day 1 was pretty rough but sugar free Popsicles & sugar free jell-o got me through it. 2nd day I stuck to Water, my shakes, yogurt and two cups of broth. Im in the state of mind - keep my eyes on the prize!! I have pictures and my calendar in my fridge to keep me motivated. We can do this!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. You need a new doctor. Take a copy of your medical record and go somewhere else. Sounds like they've dropped the ball a few times. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  22. Omg. I rearranged my whole closet just this past weekend. I have a skinny closet with all my pre-pregnancy size 6 & 8's. And then I arranged the other clothes that range from a 10-18 by size order. I plan on slowly easing my way back into my old clothes God willing they will fit me again one day!! 23. I've been thinking about this too! I'm scheduled for the 31st. So far I'll be bringing my phone, charger, ear buds, loose pj pants (old maternity ones that I kept specifically for this) nursing bra cuz they're super soft and easy to put on even with an IV. Panties, Fuzzy slippers, comb, hair ties, deodorant, moisturizer (face & hands). Full change of clothes to go home in. After reading this post I'm adding a chap stick, eye mask and robe. 24. . Good for you. You're almost there!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  25. Congratulations!! Love your newly sleeved self!!! No matter what! Family can be so harmful without even realizing it. It sucks but it's still all good. Btw I love my big fat Greek wedding. Just put windex on it!! Lol Seriously tho, I didn't tell my family because they can be so quick to criticize and the critical part of this whole procedure is how you cope mentally. Our bodies are changing physically from the surgery but it's up to us to alter our mental state for more positive results. Can't have anyone adding any negativity! So tell me, how was it? Did they give ya good pain meds? Cuz I'm a big time wuss and have very low tolerance for pain. Lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
