  2. Congratulations!! Love your newly sleeved self!!! No matter what! Family can be so harmful without even realizing it. It sucks but it's still all good. Btw I love my big fat Greek wedding. Just put windex on it!! Lol Seriously tho, I didn't tell my family because they can be so quick to criticize and the critical part of this whole procedure is how you cope mentally. Our bodies are changing physically from the surgery but it's up to us to alter our mental state for more positive results. Can't have anyone adding any negativity! So tell me, how was it? Did they give ya good pain meds? Cuz I'm a big time wuss and have very low tolerance for pain. Lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  5. After I had my son, I had gained 100 lbs. I started yoyo dieting and would lose 20 lbs but still be in the same size. After excessive gains and losses I noticed that plus sized clothing isn't accurate. I could gain 20 lbs and still fit into all my clothes and then I weigh myself and see a 20 on increase! Like whoa!! On the flip side, when I was a size 6 which seems like sooo long ago if I'd gain a 5 lbs (during that time of month) I'd need a size up cuz then the 6 was too snug. Each size allows room for 5-10 lbs in "regular" sizes. But you can gain 20 lbs and easily still fit in your plus size clothes. <---I blame this for not catching myself before hitting my all time highest weight. Spouse issues ?

I think he's just trying to be nice. I would nicely say, next time you stop by to grab a shake, can you get me a greek yogurt or maybe a Vitamin Water. Just ask for a healthier alternative. My husband is "naturally" thin as well and whenever he picks up dinner or snacks, I'll ask for something healthy and we eat together. It's not about what we eat, but about us sitting down to eat together as a family.

    Getting Anxious / Pre-Op Diet

My surgery is January 31st, I have a BMI of 44 and I have to be on the clear liquid diet for 2 weeks prior to surgery as well. No pre-made Protein shakes either. I have to make them myself with Water. I'm starting to think that the pre-op diet depends on your surgeon. Cuz it's varies with each person you talk to. I'm starting my diet a week early so I can get accustomed to it. I'll start with having Greek yogurts and pre-made shakes and hopefully in a weeks time, the clear liquid diet won't be so bad.
