  4. Don't worry about it. I started 1 day after surgery which was 1 week before I was supposed to. Mentioned it to the nurse and she said it is very common due to all the hormone changes the pre-op diet/surgery stress so they won't be surprised. They have pads and disposable panties available. Good luck!

  6. I'm 11 weeks post gastric sleeve, I'm 46 pounds down and loving life, however, I'm grieving the loss of spice in my life. My stomach can no longer handle anything remotely spicy. I immediately, after 1 bite, feel sick like I am going to throw up. I know it may seem silly to some, but I have always eaten spicy even as a child. Cajun, Indian, Thai, Chinese, Mexican...all ordered 5 stars spicy and now I can't even handle cooked down onions. No more Sichuan pepper oil, Habanero peppers or Bird-eye chilis! Someone please tell me my love of spice isn't lost forever! Sleeved December 13, 2016 Sw: 252 Cw: 206 Gw: 150

    Waking up dizzy/shaky

Dehydration...no more sleeping in on Saturday mornings....now I have to set alarms and make sure I wake up to keep hydrated... Water with lemon and G2 gatorades helped a lot...
  8. I'm 3 months out and can only eat about 4-5 bites off that plate...if that.

    Emotional Hot Mess

You will go through a lot of physical and emotional changes. Hang in there and stay positive. Your hormones are doing a reset and what your feeling is totally normal. All you need is time. Positive thinking and focus on rest, fluid intake, exercise, eating healthy and repeat.

    Edgy and short tempered

Surgeon and nutritionist said to expect big adjustments both physically and mentally. Hormone dumping is real and can make for a rough go in the beginning. Just keep that in mind when the emotions roll in and maybe that will help keep you grounded and be able to recognize when your overreacting. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Nauseated by everything

Confused by what my stomach is telling me

I'm exactly one month post op today. Honestly, I never felt "full" until I got to the soft food stage and I hate that "stuck in the throat" feeling!! Lol I think what you are experiencing is your body telling you that you need to slow down and take smaller drinks. You said it happens after you took a sip that was "too big" or "too many sips one after another"...sounds like you already knew why it happened you just need to listen to your body and slow it down. It gets better Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
