Soft foods I do can tuna, chicken, salmon. I do Soups and make sure they are puréed. Refried Beans, soft cheeses. I like the tuna pouches because they are portable. I take them with me everywhere.

For the pizza craving I found a recipe for the ricotta bake. But I'm taking things day by day, minute by minute. I'm journaling. I'm a wife and mom but I'm putting my foot down. There are some things that have changed for the better. I've got to follow dr orders and stay on track. It's like when I quit smoking in some respects. It's mindful eating now. I'm struggling with chub rub. It's painful but thank God for my old Spanx I saved that now fits again!!!!!

I'm not eating the pizza. I'm missing it. I do have psych support. I am staying away from food advertising and channels.

I'm really struggling with my food cravings. I'm a grazer. I eat emotionally and I want pizza because I can't take another add during football games. I've graduated to soft foods!!! I'm afraid I'm going to fail.

I'm in therapy for this. I had my sleeve 1/9/2017. It's hard to make better decisions. I broke down last week because I miss pizza. Talk to your doctor. They have seen it all. The feelings of shame and guilt are a vicious cycle.

I'm ok. It's so hard to think in a healthier way. I'm glad I can get encouragement and support because it's too hard to do alone

HW 322
Pre-op weight 296
Post surgery weight to date 288
Last year this time I had pneumonia. Then in February I was hospitalized for it. I was diagnosed as type two diabetes. I have hypertension and high blood pressure. I hated my weight so it was then I decided to go after Bariatric surgery.
I had done three years of research. I talked to people who had it done. In June of 2016, I began the 6 month process to do it. I'm was sad it couldn't be done quicker but now I'm glad I went through it.
I began therapy for my food issues. I'm so glad I did. I'm learning I cope with stress and life by eating it. I learned I was obsessed with food.
On January 9, 2017, I had the gastric sleeve surgery. It is so hard the first couple of days. I'm very emotionally raw right now. It's so hard being on this liquid diet. I just want to eat a pizza!! But I know I'm worth it and my kids need a more active mommy. I struggled with my weight when I was skinny and now being obese I was ashamed even more. I've learned to love myself through this journey. I'm afraid of screwing it all up.

Drink lots of water!!!! I drank Water till 11:59pm. The first two days are hard. Get walking as soon as they let you. First day they would only allow me ice and my mouth got so dry. Second day I was cleared to drink Water, broth, Jello and ice pops sugar free of course. It's very emotional too. Have a buddy be there to support you. Keep us posted. I had mine on the ninth of January.

He wants to lose weight too. His insurance doesn't cover it. It's really opened him up to talk about his emotions.

I freaked out the night before. My support team got me through it. It's hard. But so worth it. I've lost 20 lbs post surgery. 42 lbs in a year.
