Doesn't sound too fast to me. You are exercising daily, like I am and that's surely helping. I'm 5 months post op and am down 141 pounds. (Started at 470)
That's amazing!! And I definitely think the exercising is really benefitting me!

That is awesome progress. It sounds like you're doing great as well!! It's hard for me too get in 1000 too. And most of my calories are Protein shakes!!

I started at 370 by three months I was down just over 100lbs. Everyone loses at a different pace. Keep up the good work and listen to your body. Now I'm getting close to my goal weight and things are slowing down on their own.
That's so great! I hope my progress is as great as yours. Thank you!

That's awesome progress, congrats! If I have any questions, I never hesitate to ask my doctor. But quoting a previous commenter, our bodies know what we are doing! As long as we feel good and are healthy, we most likely are doing everything right and our body is taking care of itself! But again, if you're worried, just go to your doctor for reassurance. Good luck!

I had surgery exactly on the same day as you!! I started at 255 and now I'm at 217, possibly 216 or 215 I don't weigh in till Friday. But that's only 38 pounds and my doctor said I'm a slower loser. I think your weight loss for your starting weight is right on target. You are doing fantastic, keep up the great work!
That is so awesome!!! Congrats we've got this!

Stamina and hard-truth reality!! That's what helps me. Remind him of what he has been through, the money he has spent, the time he has invested, how far he has come and the progress he has already made... I hope things work out!! Good luck

zippyskippy -- thank you SO much! This was exactly the information I needed, since I've never heard of BMR! I will definitely keep doing what I'm doing!
Rozay_Baby -- congrats girl!!! I had similar stats
OutsideMatchInside -- That is peace of mind for me. You're so right, my body knows exactly what it is doing. Thanks!!!

I felt similar to you! There are a few "gossip" queens and kings in my family, and once one person was told, pretty much everyone else knew within a few days. At first I was mad and honestly a little embarrassed, but then their positive vibes kept me uplifted. They were nothing but supportive and wanted to know about my progress and a couple girls had even said they had looked into it, so I was answering questions for them. It's awkward in the beginning but remember that you made an awesome, life-changing decision to have major surgery, and they should do nothing but be proud of you and the awesome progress you've already made!!

I know I had mine a month before, but what's your current caloric intake?

Girl, you got this. I think a 30 pound loss is amazing! Keep at it!!

In those 37 days I lost 55lbs which my nut and dr said was fantastic, although they wanted me to increase my caloric intake to 1200-1400 a day. Im a big guy at 6'3" and my starting weight was 347. It's hard to believe I'm already down under 290. I had some of the same concerns as you but I feel so good I'm trying not to worry. I easily get my Protein in every day, the 64 oz of Water is harder to pull off haha. I was just cleared to start lifting so I'm really looking forward to getting back in the weight room. Hopefully this isn't something to concern ourselves with. Keep up the good work!
Wow that's amazing!!! Congrats! Protein is a little harder for me to get in, but I'm trying. Good luck with everything, I'll be following your progress!

Right after surgery, I went maybe twice a week. Now I usually go twice a day! At least once for sure. Myralax helped me in the beginning!

Hi guys!
I had gastric sleeve surgery on December 29, 2016, so almost 3 months ago! So far, best decision I have ever made (and I don't think anything could change my opinion!!).
Everything has been great. I'm sticking to my SUR's and NUT's instructions of soft foods and 60-80 grams of Protein with 64 oz of hydrating fluids per day. I have adjusted well to the smaller portions. I was worried about this, because I tended to overeat and snack late at night. I'm still working on eating earlier and trying not to graze at night when I am home. I also exercise 5-6 days a week for at least an hour, which is mainly cardio and some strength training. I feel amazing; I already had lots of energy before the surgery, so I was very surprised to find out that I would have even MORE energy each day (early riser and night owl all in one).
So my only dilemma, which is truly a double entendre, is that I feel as though I have lost weight way too fast. I started at 304 lbs and in less than three months, I am already down 68 lbs, now at 236 lbs. 68!!! Which is so awesome, but very scary. I had hoped I would lose weight at a "normal" pace, and I could work on toning up all while hoping to avoid a skin removal surgery, if it is necessary. I've only had one stall, in the very beginning, that lasted for about two weeks. Ever since then, constant weight loss. I have another post-op appointment next month, so I'll be asking my doctors about this.
Has anyone been through a situation similar to mine, or does anyone have any advice? Thanks so much!!

Stay hydrated and walk, walk, walk!! It helped me sooo much, hopefully it will help you too.

I personally wouldn't bring up the surgery! He's definitely interested in you, since y'all are meeting for coffee I wouldn't put too much pressure on yourself or the date! Now if it came up on a date and you/he were to mention any kind of surgery, I wouldn't hesitate either, if you're comfortable sharing that information.
In my opinion, the right man will think it's awesome that you care so much about your health that you chose to embark on a life-changing journey! I'm in my early 20's and I can definitely see a shift in my dating life. I'm more confident and more willing to get to know a man now after my surgery and weight loss. I'm not willing to completely invest myself in something just yet, I want to focus on myself and getting to my goal before giving my attention on anyone else, lol!
Just be confident in yourself and let your personality shine through. Good luck!!
