Hello everyone,
It's my first post, but I've been lurking around since before the surgery. I think now I'm ready to share my progress.
I had my sleeve on March 9, 2018. Highest weight 236. Surgery weight 229. I had surgery through Kaiser in LA by the greatest Dr. Um.
Everything went well. It took a couple solid weeks for my incisions to heal, but after that it was a piece of cake. Everything went down fine and no problems at all. Now I'm almost 7 months post-op, almost 65 pounds down. Current weight 167.5
I feel great, look great.. still want to lose about 15 pounds.
The dress on the photo is the same but was adjusted for fit new me.
As for skin.. ehh.. I wish it would look better, but not the deal breaker! The best decision of my life!!!

I am still pre op but would love to speak with and/or meet people nearby. I live in Encino.
Hey, I'm in North Hollywood/Sherman oaks.. still going through options classes through Kaiser. Let's get in touch.

Hi guys, what's the usual time frame from first phone call "I'm interested in surgery" to the surgery date if you go through insurance? (Assuming you are approved of course) Also, I have Kaiser (LA).. would like to know how hard are they on approving you and the time frame as well. Thank you!

I'm sure all will even out and you will look great. Give it some time. It hasn't even been a month yet.I had surgery on 12/19/16. I am currently going through a period of surgery regret. It's not because of not being able to eat large quantities anymore since I didn't really do that before hand. It's not about not being able to drink since I don't drink. For me my regret currently is because of two things mainly.
1. I'm losing too slowly for my taste. I feel like I butchered myself for nothing since I could lose faster just by eating low carb.
2. What weight I have lost seems to have all come from my boobs. I am not pleased with how my body looks already.
Will I forever regret the surgery? Doubtful. But right now that's how I feel.

How about drinks? Beer, vodka, wine?
I enjoy being out with friends. My enjoyment just doesn't involve mass quantities of food now. Yes I eat but I find that I'm more involved in the conversation than I've ever been and I feel like I get so much more out of the time that I've spent. My question exactly. I have a friend that had a surgery in '09, lost a bunch of weight, looks really good, but still cannot eat much. Cannot enjoy times out with friends, because if she ate a bit too much she feels sick and has to sit for 20 min to digest it. I'm wondering is this the experience for everyone?
