    Swooshing

Do you mean rumbling/growling/noises? Or are you meaning like boat-rocking swoosh like tons of liquid is in your gut?

Tmi? but I need to know

Diarrhea is very common on liquid diets post-op because the stuff goes through your digestive system rapidly. Just keep hydrated and with enough nutrients (vitamins, protein, etc.). When you get on solids it should disappear within days-to-weeks. I was likewise taking things that didn't help, such as milk of magnesia.. literally could not go anywhere out of fear of crapping myself.

    Dental Impact

I can see dental issues arising with severe reflux.. Beyond that, likely imagination, or would be from not taking care of teeth by default.

    How do you know?

    - Have a diet plan planned with your surgeon/nutritionist/dietitian - Follow the plan - If you use fullness as a guide, you've not only eaten too much, but stand a higher chance of nausea/vomiting

    Pant sizes?

I was up to a 52x32 pant size.. right now at 36-40x32 and they vary on tightness/looseness. i had went nuts shopping in the US for clothes, in PA where it was tax-free for those, with the 36-40s, but my weight gain happened so fast I literally outgrew them in a matter of weeks and was unable to wear them. I kept them around for several years until my weight plummeted back down to now and can wear them comfortably. They still look brand new.

    Relationship changes

My wife went to many of my appointments and we talk about everything so there was no surprises. Subsequently, no changes in the relationship either. Doing just fine. She did change up her diet to her own modified version of what my diet is.. and she's doing a lot better than me at tracking/weighing -- she suffers from PCOS and I think had a BMI of 35'ish. I bugged the crap out of her to ditch the regular Coke, and while she stopped that, she's had occasional Coke Zero's since, not regular soda. We communicate more about food, are a lot more careful and observant of nutrition details of wherever we eat, and are very restrictive on our daughter having junk food. Daughter's weight has never been an issue, but we want to keep it that way.

    Early Plateau: Is something wrong?

You've stalled. We all get them. Stick to the plan.

    Blessed be the chili

We usually just do ground beef and chili seasoning now. Some of the chili powders are just overkill on the taste. We used to do kidney beans, and while the fiber is nice, the carbs is just overkill. Some people like other stuff like onions, peppers, etc.. I hate all those, which is why I tend not to buy the store brand chili's (at least in Canada -- I dig Hormel Chili No Beans/Turkey No Beans and Armour Chili when I go back to the US every now and then).

Should I begin my liquid diet now?!

I don't think there's a logical answer, I'd just stick with what you're told from health professionals. The premise of the pre-op diet is to shrink the liver. For those who don't have inflamed/expanded liver (due to progressive liver diseases) it takes very little time to shrink the liver as small as it's gonna get.

6 weeks out and already stalling -

I've been in a stall for over 3 weeks myself, not sweating it. Just realize they happen, and continue with the good habits.

    If it's God's will...

Thank you, I've actually got quite a few PM's from a number of posters (pretty much all religious people) who wanted to voice their support for my original post without being flamed. Not worried at all, I think those who aren't overly sensitive (or trying to make a scene as if that makes them more religiously devout) understood the message of personal empowerment and responsibility (not religion bashing) just fine.

    Stomach still talks to me

It's peristalsis. It's completely normal unless accompanied by worrisome secondary effects. What's actually concerning is hearing nothing, but I will say the faster you eat, the faster stuff moves through you, so the higher likelihood of it being noisy.

    I feel so moody! What's up ?!!

Very few of it comes out in urine. Vast majority of fat lost is exhaled.

    Blessed be the chili

May lord spaghetti monster bless the chili. I love the stuff too.. problem is, it gives me so much gas I clear the room out pretty fast. While I can't speak for anyone else, it's still very much worth it to me.

Anybody have a problem eating fruit?

I just make smoothies, and they only contain frozen strawberries, frozen bananas, frozen blueberries, and milk. That's it. Have had this since a week after surgery and have had no issue whatsoever. It's actually rather filling. I make them very thick, rather than watery.

    Blood pressure

Even some keto/high protein-low carb related foods are high in sodium. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water.

    Calories for MEN

Slightly higher cals and protein for guys. Not terribly different.

    Roller cossters

A few weeks to a month I'd say, mainly when you can handle pressure on your abdominal area.

    Not losing consistently

I've been stalled for over 3 weeks now. Still, I want to know my weight regardless of stalls, so I've been weighing daily. Doesn't matter how little or much I eat, my weight right now just will not budge from 258-260. All the way up until that point, it was plunging on the diet I've been on. If I had expected consistency it would have driven me mad by now.

    Substance abuse

So what kind of support are you looking for? Do you want people to congratulate you on the alcohol and drug addiction and encourage you to do more of it? If you can't moderate yourself, abstain entirely. There's no other solution. The sleeve actually makes it easier for drugs and booze to hurt you because of how quickly they absorb into the bloodstream. Moderating yourself is even more essential with this WLS. If your goal is to destroy your organs like your liver or kill yourself, you're on the right track.

    Are you still cold?

Body fat is a great at trapping heat inside the body. Losing it means heat escapes better. I've noticed already that I'm a lot colder, easier. Just one of the many adjustments a lot of people need to make.

How has your life changed for the better?

    - Sleep better - On less meds that gave me side effects such as depression, tiredness, etc. - Less weight means less pressure on my back so a lot less pain dealing with my L5/S1 fracture - Used to not be able to walk 50-100ft without being out of breath, now can walk miles and never be out of breath - More active in life, playing more with my daughter, doing a lot more physical activity

    Blood pressure

Each person's body reacts differently, if your BP is going back up, might need to be on medications again until it settles down.
