  3. Good for you focusing on weight loss and energy levels. That lose skin is something that many of us will have to tackle at a later time. Right now all energy and focus needs to remain on losing weight and getting healthy...Congratulations again on what you have accomplished and continue towards your overall goal.

  6. I had my surgery at 65 and wish the surgery was available in my 20's!!!
  7. Rachel the decision is really yours and it shouldn't matter what others think, especially if you do not know them. The surgeries were not available to me in my 20's. I did research them as they became available but I believed I could lose weight on my own. Last year I knew I was fooling myself about losing the weight on my own, I needed help. At that point I changed from a passive weight loss person to aggressively seeking help. After my initial seminar I came home and started to putt together my support team. My only request was if you choose to support me through this journey great, if you cannot be supportive then please just pray for me. Do not try and talk me out of this,, it is my journey and I have made up my mind to do this. Most of the people I talked to were supportive and the others did not try to talk me out of my choice. The one thing I know is without this support system helping me I would not have made it to the scheduled surgery. So decide what you want to do and putt together your support team. Good luck!
  8. Good luck...start with their seminar..it will give you a road map for what to expect
  9. Shellybelly31, I live in lower Sussex Co. I had my Gastric sleeve in Dec. 2016. I choose Christiana Weight Loss program in Wilmington. My surgeon was Dr Iragau. The program, services and surgeon were all excellent. I do not have anything but praise for all of them. Surgery was in Wilmington Hospital with great nursing care. The classes are held in Smyrna if you cccan work it into your schedule. I hope this helps you. Good luck
  10. Folks I have hit a stall! Frustrating, but know it is going to happen from time to time. What things have you done to jump start your losing weight again?
  11. I have eaten rice but no pasta

  13. I am 67 now and had my surgery in Dec @66yrs old. I was worried about my age but I had no complications. When the endocrinologist told me I didn't need to take my pre diabetes mess any longer when I left the hospital Iwas thrilled. I no longer take cholesterol mess and am down to one BP med. This is possibly the best decision I have made for ME!!!!
  14. I love Fairlife milk! I use it for cereal and for shakes. I always buy it on sale..it has a long shelf life, just like organic milk, just extra grams of protein.
  15. I have vomited a few times. It is really not pleasant but I do think it is easier than dealing with the pain. That pain is just horrible!

  18. You will learn when you are full/ satisfied by eating slow, chewing food completely and waiting between bites. You will feel it..and if you go one bite too far, well, you will never want to make that mistake again. It is learning new habits..and an added surprise for me I am not feeling hungry. I set the alarm on my phone 4 times a day to remind me to go get Protein. So happy with that surprise Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  19. I was sleeved on 12/19. HW 252. SW 232. CW 220. Overall I am pleased with my loss. I have little energy and my BP is really low so exercise is on hold right now. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
