    I love my sleeve because..?

I love my sleeve because I don't have to edit my pictures before posting them. I'm in love with my new body and I'm not even a full year out as yet.
  2. My blood pressure was always low before surgery. After surgery it's high. Not sure how or why especially when I don't eat the same

  4. Hey question When can you start traveling after you've had the sleeve? I'm about 5/6 weeks out. Need to take a flight to another state for work next week. Is that to early to travel? I already called my doctor but he hasn't gotten back to me yet, so I decided to ask you guys. Let me know! Thanks Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Can't get protein in, HELP!

I had the same problem and even severe dehydration problems up until 3/4 months post opp. Everyone's body is different and adjusts differently to the sleeve. Try premiere protein brand shakes, they are very very thin it literally taste like flavored water and it's 30g per serving. Remember you can't finish it all at once so so small yet frequent sips. In the morning, if you can try and get 16oz of water down before you eat anything. That helped me and I was in and out of the hospital for many things. I'm nearly one year post opp now and everything is fine. Haven't been to a hospital in months. Literally you just have to learn your body and what it accepts. If the premiere shakes don't work try a different form of getting protein. Egg white, yogurt, beans etc. Whatever your doctor and nutritionist allows. SW - 322 CW - 219 GW - 160 . Sleeved 12/14/16. On the verge of dehydration!

The only premier shake I like is the chocolate one because it doesn't taste grainy or too strong deff try it. They have it in Walmart pack of 4 shakes for $7

    1st restaurant experience post op

It will get better! Especially when you can move on from soft foods to real foods. In the mean time keep doing the potato, soup and even ask your doctor if you can have salmon as a soft food

    On the verge of dehydration!

Suck on ice. Get pedialyte. Get flavors for your water!

I HAVE GIVEN UP ON DRINKING WATER!!

Water was very difficult for me in the beginning also. I was in and out of the hospital for dehydration for my first 8 weeks after surgery. Then I found out that my body can tolerate the water at a regular room temp with flavoring. Maybe the water is to cold, or too bland figure out what your stomach can handle and stay hydrated!

    Did you lose your boobs?

Girl... honestly yes! I'm 8 months out and my boobs do not look nice. I think I'm going to get them lifted and filled when I'm about 18-24 months out.
  11. Wow lucky you I couldn't eat anything besides water and apple sauce my first 6-8 weeks lol and I got sleeved before Christmas [emoji30] I missed out on all the good stuff

    NyQuil

Hey I'm a little over 3 months post opp and I'm not on any special meds. I've had this horrible sneezing and cough for almost 48 hours now but I really need to go to sleep. Does anyone know if NyQuil is ok? It has 10% alcohol so I don't know if I can take it but that is all that's in my house right now. It's to late to call my doctor otherwise I would've asked him [emoji30] help!!

    I think I am a hypocrite!

Lmaooooooo. Losing nearly 60 pounds is very obvious. When you get your surgery and start to lose weight you'll understand. I never met anyone who got offended by being told it looks like they are losing weight or slimming down. Lmaooooo [emoji30][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

    I think I am a hypocrite!

I know the feeling. I am down 58 pounds, family is very supportive and gives me compliments. But only 1 of my friends said something about my weight loss. Sometimes people may be jealous that you are losing weight and taking care of your body. Who knows but as long as you notice the change and your loved ones you are around daily help you to continue to reach your goals that's all that should matter

    2 weeks out & dumping?

You have not dumped. Dumping is very painful you do not want to experience the vomit and chills at the same time! Maybe it is your body adjusting to the new things being put in your stomach

    Weight gain 2-days post op

You just got the surgery don't look at the scale yet! Most likely it's from the fluids from the hospital but it will go away
  21. I was sleeved in December and I'm STILL struggling to get in all 60g of protein. Shakes don't sit to well with me but I try to get in one a day. I get my protein in through salmon, yogurt or egg whites but not all 60g. Any suggestions/ideas? What shakes do you guys like? Maybe it's the brand of shakes I'm getting. Not sure.
