This is the first time I have posted pictures. I am 36 pounds down I don't know if I am being hard on my self but even though I have lost I still don't see any changes. I'm kind of down because I am not getting all the exercise in that I know I need but I am eating a lot better than before. I guess I am asking for some input for others that are going through the same things.
I can tell in the way the shirt fits you differently in the two pictures. I agree that you are losing weight all over so may not be noticeable to you. Either way you are down 36lbs which is amazing. Keep up the good work.

I recently converted to GENEPRO from premier Protein for this exact reason. Could not stomach another shake.
I have put the unflavored GENEPRO in my crystal lite and it completely dissolved and I cannot taste it. It has made me getting my Protein in sooo much easier. When mixing it I have read to be careful with hot temperatures and if cooler temperatures let it set and return to mix in.

I had my procedure 12/13/16.
I am not going to lie you, you will probably go through a phase of mourning/missing the food choices you made previously.
You are right things will not be the same, however that is why I had the surgery. I did not want things to be the same. I needed a drastic change to stop me in my tracks from destroying the one body I was given.
Mixed feelings at this stage is normal and expect an emotional roller coaster as you approach surgery on the liquid diet.
I have not struggled since the procedure(craving food)even with all the Christmas meals/desserts. I am still on liquids until 12/28 then I will start puréed.
You can do this but you are right things will be completely different. Good luck.

I would say it is normal and the more you make yourself move and get up and walk the easier it gets. I am 12 days post op and my external incisions are almost healed and the pain is gone.
It gets better but also remember you had a major surgery even if the incisions are small. It is like being stabbed by a long knife at each incisions.
Good luck and hope you feel better.

I have burped a lot but not noticed a bad smell. The further I get away from the procedure the less gassy I am. Are you able to tolerate Water and other liquids besides the Protein shakes?

The team at my doctors office recommended not weighing for the first two weeks for this reason. Normal and will slowly go away. Focus on letting your body heal and hydration.

I would make an appointment ASAP. I am not that far out but it does not sound normal. Especially the fever is concerning.

good for u-areasyloser. how long did it take for ur incisions to stop hurting? My incisions took probably 5 days besides the bigger one took 7-8. But the pain was not unbearable before then. Today I am moving normal and have coughed/sneezed/laughed with no pain in my abdomen. Today 3 of my 6 incisions look healed.

How is everyone doing with this change around Christmas? It has not been as rough as expected so far. I thought passing on all the food would be extremely hard but I have no desire to eat the food. The only thing is (not)tasting the food I have made for my family to make sure it is seasoned properly. I just wing it and hope for the best.
I hope you ladies have a Merry Christmas.
My incisions look wonderful almost healed. I am still on liquids and I am also tired of the sweet premier Protein chocolate. I ordered some unflavored Protein powder for my puréed phase.

I was allowed to eat 3 meals and 2 Snacks. Very low carb and no processed. High Protein with veggies. No fruits 10 days prior to surgery.

I would say yes. Mine was 12-13 and it makes a lot more noise than before but the further out from surgery it is calming down.

I had surgery the 13th of December. I am doing well. Sipping Water and Protein. All liquids until the 28th then I can start puréed. Feeling well and moving a lot. Trying to get back to a new sense of normal.

I am not sure what the procedure will be at your clinic but my initial consultation was informative. They checked my weight, height. Gave me a lot of information regarding the surgery, pre-diet, and post. Possible complications. They took my insurance information to verify my coverage and find out the requirements.
I had my consult in July and my insurance required a 90 day supervised program. I completed that December 6th and had my surgery December 13th.

Wanted to check in with everyone who had their procedure on December 13th. How is the diet going? I am still liquids until next Wednesday. I have been doing well getting my Water in, average close to 60 ounces. The Protein Shakes are getting old but I drink two per day. Have not had any nausea and not a large amount of pain around incisions. Thankfully have not had the gas pains I was so worried about. Today was my first day getting out of that house and I was surrounded by junk food and more junk food and had no desire for any. Enjoyed the time with family though.
I am 36, mother of 3. Was an athlete growing up and had no weight issues until I hit my 20's. Husband was deployed and I ate my worries away. 3 deployments later I was over weight. I have lost the weight(extremely unhealthy measures) and gained it back. I have a underactive thyroid.
I have an amazing life and I am extremely happy besides my weight has stopped me from enjoying everything God has blessed me with. I have been ugly to my husband, skipped activities with my kids, and disappointed myself too many times. That is what motivated me to have the sleeve.
My highest weight was 264, with the pre-op diet I lost 15 lbs. I have not weighed since surgery and do not plan to until my appointment on Wednesday. I am 5'7.
Thanks for reading. I look forward to going on this journey with you guys.
