I am 2 wks post op from the by-pass and I have a lot of pain on my left side also. I actually feel a knot under my skin. I was told beforehand that I would have a spot on the left that hurt a long time. I have to hold it when I get up and walk. Don't do too much bc I overdid it one day and really paid the next day with pain. I am pretty sure that is where they cut the stomach muscle to get in and passed the tools thru.
