    Gigantic vitamins

My surgeon doesn't want his patients taking regular tablet vitamins, even broken. Chewables or liquid only.

    Food

You can always blot them on napkins...
  3. Frozen yogurt is nothing like regular yogurt. Tons of sugar/carbs...

    Chick fil a diet lemonade

The citric acid from the lemon juice might not be the best choice for your healing stomach. Think of getting lemon juice in a paper cut...
  5. I can't say I loved what it said (I despise the chewables I have), but I trust it!

    Baby Food

Don't eat baby food! It's gross, and making pureed food you will like without all the carbs is really easy.
  7. I read this from John's Hopkins and thought it was helpful: http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/johns_hopkins_bayview/_docs/medical_services/bariatrics/nutrition_sleeve_gastrectomy.pdf
  8. I'm not far ahead of you (2/22) and felt the same way. It gets better! And then It felt worse, but I'm back to better again. What I mean is that this creates a roller coaster of emotions. The lightheadedness should pass soon, the scale will start to move (and then it won't so be prepared for that, but it's temporary) and your energy will return. Try to keep a long term perspective because focusing too closely on what you're going through right this minute can bum you out.

    Vitamins

The chewables are the absolute worst. It takes all the willpower I can muster to take them and not gag. I can't wait until I'm cleared for regular vitamins!
  10. Sleeved 2/22. Sigh, 8 days at pretty much the same weight (darn week 3 stall). So I'm only down 15.4 since surgery (plus 17 before). Tomorrow has to be the day it moves again, right?
  11. Which has a big straw!
  12. Mine went away completely after the early weight loss from surgery. Are you walking more? PF is the worst...
  13. I have a scale that is helpful for measuring some things, but right now I mostly use measuring cups. I can eat about a half cup at a meal. More than that and I regret it no matter how much it weighed! PS - cereal isn't the best choice. With so little room, protein is far more important
  14. You need to switch to a Protein drink without the sugar and with closer to 20-30 grams of protein per serving.

    4 weeks out!

Nearly everyone stalls around week 3. I have basically been the same weight for 7 days. I'm 23 days out. It's a bummer, but knowing it's normal makes it a little easier to bear.
  16. The search function is pretty bad these days...
  17. It sucks, but it's a short part of the whole in the scheme of things. I was on Clear liquids and Protein shakes for 19 days. I nearly cried when I was allowed to start soft foods. Heaven. You mentioned you are getting "all your liquids". For my surgeon that means 64 oz, but that isn't enough for me to not get headaches and feel crappy. I need more like 100 oz to feel good. So maybe try a little more in liquids (and something salty like broth) and see if that feels better?

    Tuna in puree stage?

I think you'll find what one person can handle well another cannot. I can handle eggs ( many can't) and tuna well, but refried beans didn't feel good. Make sure whatever it is is very moist and you should do well.
  19. Depends on your state. Every state's BCBS is independent.
  20. I had this once after lots of leg crossing after a big weight loss. I actually worried I had MS! A few weeks after I stopped the crossing it went away. It's very common with the newly thin taking advantage of being able to cross their legs!
  21. Could be orthostatic hypotension (drop in bp when you go from laying down or sitting to standing).

    Introduction

I think you're in the week 3 stall. It'll pick up again soon. Screw the NUT, honestly. If you are following the plan, your loses are what they are. And I was sleeved 2 days after you, started at 265.8 on surgery day and have been stuck at 251.4 for 5 days. Considering how little we're consuming, we're not doing anything wrong. Our bodies right now are saying, "what's going on?! I'm going to hold on to this as long as I can..." That lasts a week or so I hear. Also your pre-surgery loses were impressive. I think people who lose massive amounts in the first month either have a lot more to lose or didn't lose as much before surgery. Whatever the cause, I think the reminder to not compare ourselves to others is wise.

    Eggs and refried beans

I am allowed soft foods now and had eggs this morning. Yum. They felt better than the refried beans I had for lunch.
