I think I see her on January 3rd.
Oh I'm sorry you're still in pain! I hope it's better for you soon. And yeah, it is super hard to get liquid in. I keep worrying about dehydration. And oh my God an eggs sounds so good. When do you see your doctor next?I'm still having pain and taking pain meds. I can tolerate the pain, except my blood pressure goes up significantly when I have pain and gives me the worst head ache. I'm going to have to request a refill.
I'm sick of Protein shakes, but still sipping a bit each day. I prefer chicken broth with unjury Protein added.
Been able to get in more Water yesterday and today. Probably still not enough though. Also drinking some crystal light and G2, and having Popsicles and hello occasionally. Oh, and ate some yogurt yesterday, but I don't like yogurt much so it's hard to eat.
Can't wait to eat some stage 2 foods. Thinking of making a chicken or tuna salad in my vita mix so I can eat that. Next week. My doctor said I could try a scrambled egg on day 10 and then some fish if the egg is tolerated. Looking forward to it.

Give Crystal light a try! It's delicious and you would never know there's no sugar in it. And yeah, the commercials are killer. I think I will be starting On Thursday, already counting down the days. How's your energy been?

By the end of the day I think I will have finished almost all of the Protein Shake. It is a struggle though, but at least I don't find them terribly disgusting. I just miss the taste of food. As far as pain, I'm doing pretty OK. My throat is still very sore, As is my stomach. It's not really just my incisions though, I feel more pain actually on the right side. When I lay down, there's no pain, it's mainly just when I transition positions. I think we are both doing pretty well for not even a week, don't you think? When do you move to pureed?

I feel pretty good, I think I'm gonna take another day or two to really amp up my Protein. I drank half of the shake today, and I really didn't love the way it made me feel. It just seemed to sit very heavy. So I think I'll take one more day. My incisions don't hurt but oh my god my Throat does. Are you still taking pain meds?

And congrats to you to you as well!

Hey all, I was sleeved on December 19th! I feel pretty good, A little bit of stomach pain and a ton of throat pain. I didn't realize just how much my throat was going to hurt. I've been drinking some broth and Decaf tea, and I think it's slowly starting to help. Anyone have any experience with this? My other more important question, is how much Protein were you taking in four days post op? Seems that when I try to drink a decent amount of protein, even slowly, my stomach hurts. I just want to know what everyone else's experience was with this? Water is a bit easier!

My surgery is tomorrow too, and reading your post diminished my residual nerves and now I'm just EXCITED. Good luck!!Replying to #1 Post on 12/14/2016 - "Every who has had surgery already, how are you feeling?! How was your experience? And to everyone waiting for their surgeries, are you excited?! Hows pre op going? I'm assuming most have started by now and if not are you dreading starting like I was?! haha, i have 2 more sleeps till my surgery and I'm so ready for it to be over with!!!!"
I am doing good, other than not sleeping much (cat napping all weekend - not one ounce of REM sleep since Thursday night) but I am sure that is expected with the excitement of anticipation of my surgery tomorrow. I have already lost 11 ;bs with this clear liquid diet that I have been on for 3 days (pre op), I'm already feeling like a better me - working towards the best me!
I haven't packed my bag yet, but I have everything I need, just need to put it in the bag for the hospital. I am single, and was concerned about coming home from surgery alone, so I will also be packing a back to take with me when I leave the hospital because I will be staying at my daughter's home until I feel comfortable bringing my new tummy home.
I essentially have purchased everything I need, the Protein isolate, (I am not doing the whey, I am doing the P Protein Isolate powder because of being lactose intolerant. I bought the Biotin tabs for hair loss prevention & support, the Vitamins, the protein waters, gas tabs, chapstick, and other items. I picked up my prescriptions from the pharmacy already, and waiting to head to the hospital in the morning. i plan to do my BEFORE photos tonight & my final pre surgery weigh in, and if I can figure out how to save info on this website, I will update my profile.
I plan on taking it easy today, and just continuing to drink drink drink these clear liquids up until bedtime tonight. . I am super excited, I am the "glass have full" kind of lady, and I always look for the positives, in life, and not put emphasis or focus on the negatives. I look for the lessons to be learned from them, and how I can turn them into positives, you know LEMONS into LEMONADE. I am sure we all have had or will have some concerns about this life altering decision we have made, and procedure we have had or are about to have, and I hope that we won't let the negative thoughts rob us of the positive impact this will have in & on our lives. We all want and need something better, or we wouldn't have made the choice to do this. I hope we can continue to glean from each others post all of the wisdom shared by those who have already had their procedures, knowledge that we have, and real life testimonies about our day to day successes. I know there may be some pain and discomfort (that is true with any surgery), I know that this new tummy & new lifestyle will require some getting used to, but I a more than confident that WE CAN DO THIS!!! so let's take the bull by the horns and ride on to victory!!! (and NO I have not been drinking - alcohol, LOL) just super excited for all of us!!!!
have a great day!
Happy Weight Losing Everyone!!!

I know, it's hard to think about anything else, but I'm so ready. How're you feeling?
-
Mine is 9:30 Monday morning! You're SO right, it felt so far away and yet here we are! Im super nervous and super excited. I think I'm the most concerned about coming out of anesthesia and the initial pain. I'm a huge baby, but this is so worth it. And from what i've heard, the pain is tolerable.
The only pre-op I have is clear Fluid the day before. So tomorrow is my last hurrah with solid food for a while! The hospital called yesterday to ask some questions and tell me where to go. Then my doctor called this morning and confirmed the time.
Good luck! We are going to kick butt!
-
thank u for the reassurance. i just wasnt sure. that is awesome. u excited???

no problem! and very! a bit nervous, but way more excited! you?

I sadly don't think so. I mean, every program is different. But if you were on a liquid only diet, I would definitely say no to the turkey bacon and eggs. My surgery is Monday too! So close!
