  1. You can try Bariatric Choice liquid Protein, u mix it with cold Water and it tastes kind of like kool aid. I cant handle any other Protein shakes besides this and boost chocolate. Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
  2. Almost 1 month post op. Im allowed cooked vegetables besides corn. Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
  3. Arthritis flare up. Ive never had issues with pain meds , even right after surgery which was a month ago, it never bothered me. I guess mixing everything just didnt agree Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
  4. So I just ate some vegetable Soup then took a gas x and vicodin..not a good idea. I dont think I had full dumping syndrome but damn I had the worst cramp in my stomach and nauseated and broke out in sweat, no vomiting. It lasted for about 15 minutes. It brought back bad memories of when I had my gall bladder attack before it was removed. Could this have been dumping or just a really dumb idea lol? Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
  5. Rock it girl! U look great Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
  6. My surgeon recommends 60 to 80 grams of Protein daily. Since you arent eating a lot, you should be consuming protein whether it is powder, liquid, pre made shakes. I use boost because the powder shakes make me sick, I also use Liquid Protein you mix with cold Water and I use mio drops to make it taste better..it almost tastes like kool aid lol. I am shocked your suregon didnt mention protein powder! Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
  7. Oh no you poor dear! I hope u start to feel better Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App Thanks so much. Glad you are doing well Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
  8. Happy new year, be safe Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
  9. I had to quit 4 weeks prior to surgery. They did a nicotine test before they even scheduled me. It was just a urine sample but my surgeon is really strict about not smoking even now and I have been post op almost a month. Unfortunately I started back up but only smoke once in a while. Your best bet is to ask them about their requirements, some require 4 weeks, some 8 weeks, and I have read some require longer than that. Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
  10. Honestly u will feel like crap but once you get surgery, the hunger subsides. Like the comment below, sugar free popsicles really do help. Also since you are allowed vegetables try a hidden valley greek yogurt seasoning pack and mix it with plain greek yogurt..it is not the same as ranch but tastes okay. Good luck Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
  11. Thank you! Omg the gagging is horrid lol. I will just keep doing what I am doing and get my Water in. Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App I will try to get more water in! Thanks Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
  12. I was sleeved Dec 6th and I have had nausea everyday since. I was wondering how long everyone had it before it went away? I take anti nausea meds but I wake up nauseated and off and on through out the day. Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
  13. Taste buds definitely change! I tried tuna today for the first time since surgery on Dec 6th and my whole mouth tasted like metal and fish, I used to love tuna! Also I noticed miracle whip tastes sweet to me now. Just keep trying different things to see what you like, I will follow my own advice too lol Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
  14. You can try smart Water, when I first had surgery I was drinking Fiji water but it was too dense. Smart water seems to go down smooth with no stomach upset Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
  15. I dont know how you can physically eat this stuff. I am a few weeks post op and can barely eat Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App

  18. Can't believe you're back to work 23 days post op. That's got to be rough. Hang in there & listen to your body. If you need to rest, do so. I'm 5.5weeks post op & still find myself needing to rest during the day. I go back to work 1/3! Happy New Year. Happy New You.I was back at work 2 weeks out. I have good and bad days but luckily I work in an office so I can sit. Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App

  20. My 600 lb life is a great motivator and reminder why I got sleeved, even though I was not even close to being that size. Sometimes I want to throat punch the whiney patients though LOL Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
  21. I had the same pain and would also hold my stomach when I walked. My pain lasted 2 weeks until I was able to stand up straight instead of hunched over. I still feel the pain if I over do it or bend over a lot which I am not supposed to do either. Best of luck Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
  22. Good luck to you! Yeah being sleeved around the holidays is the worst, I was sleeved Dec 6th. Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
  23. Good luck!!! Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
  24. If you are able to drink Water I suggest what I use which is Bariatric Choice liquid Protein fruit drink concentrate, its liquid that you pour into water. The berry tastes good and if its too sweet u can add more water. Also u can mix it with mio drops. I couldnt handle the Protein shakes because of the after taste and smell. The liquid reminds me of jolly ranchers or kool aid. Amazon has a few flavors you can choose. Good luck! Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App Oh also each liquid packet is 15 grams of protein! Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
  25. Yeah I had to see the cardioligist twice before I was cleared. Good luck with everything Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
