  1. Merry christmas. When I awoke from getting my sleeve done I was thirsty and groggy. You usually are in and out of grogginess from the pain meds and anesthesia. I had pain when I stood up or sat down but I was up and walking a few hours after surgery. As far as weight loss, I had my sleeve done Dec 6 and I am about 35 pounds down. Everyone loses different though plus when u leave the hospital you will most likely have some Water weight from fluids. Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
  2. Try Bariatric Choice liquid Protein fruit drink concentrate! I couldnt stomach the daily chalky protein shakes, most of them made me nauseated. The Liquid Protein comes in berry, blue raspberry, pomegranate and some other flavor..its a liquid packet u mix with Water. The berry smells like a jolly rancher and tastes pretty good especially if u put a little fruit punch mio drops in it! I am definitely going to order more from amazon. I think its 15 grams of protein per packet too Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
  3. Hi, I gained about 5 pounds when i left the hospital due to fluids. I felt the same way trust me! I am now almost 3 weeks post op and I have lost 35 lbs since I was discharged. Everyone is different so dont worry you will lose! Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
  4. Yes the Protein shakes and Water made me gassy too. Gas X strips are wonderful both pre op and post op! Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
  5. Do not call it off! Just like any other surgery there are chances something could go wrong but you have to realize these surgeons do these daily. Also laproscopic surgery is much easier. I had my gall bladder removed 4 years ago and I was sleeved Dec 6th..u can do it!! Just be careful post op and take it day by day. Best of luck and happy holidays! 6. You probably still have swelling and water feels like a brick. Also it could be built up gas from surgery. Try different types of water. I am 15 days post op and drink smart water. You can also try mio drops, it will break up the density. Everyday really does get better trust me. If u are parched u can try sugar free popsicles. As far as protein , try different types. I am sick of all of the sweet protein shakes.. I have yet to find one i like. Good luck! Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
