    Gallbladder Removal and Weight Gain

I had GS in January and had my gallbladder out in June. It's only a month but I am maintaining my weight. I had it out because of attacks. It was horrible. I hope I don't gain weight back. I find that hard to do. I'm sticking to my healthy life style, and see what will happen

    Different Hair

I too had surgery Jan 2017 and have naturally curly hair. I lost some hair in spots and it's definitely thinner but still have the girl. I also am going through menopause. But I started taken sugarbear vitamins. A few people I know take them too and their hair grew back so full.

    Coffee?

My NUT said I could have a cup of coffee a day. And so i did. I added a half scoop of Unjury unflavored protein at times.
  11. Glad I made this life change. Yes at times I miss certain things but 7 months post and down 60 lbs and feel great. I am by the book and get nervous at times when I eat bad. Sometimes I find myself sneaking back to my bad habits but glad when I get full faster.

1 year 4 mos post gs

Sounds like a hernia. You should get that checked if it's painful.
  13. I'm 6 months out and so happy with my 55lb Weight loss. I'm only 15 lbs from my goal. The only problem is my boobs. I want to get a lift. I did some research and found it's not too expensive. Was wondering if anyone out there did the same? Insurance won't cover right? I also have some skin in abdominal area. Sorry to be gross but it's a prime area for infections since it doesn't get air. A friend would go to her doctors for it and he would give her cream. And. Me after doing this for a year she is having surgery and insurance is paying for it.
  14. I am 5 months post op. I love my journey so far. SW - 219. CW 158. GW 130. The problem is I didn't have my gallbladder out. Because of the drastic weight loss, I now have gallstones and need surgery to remove my gallbladder. Tip here make sure they check your gallbladder and if you have any stones get it out during your sleeve. Trust me I am so happy I had the sleeve and my only regret is not having them take out my gallbladder. Good luck!

  16. Omg as I sit here in the ER with rule out gallbladder. Reading your story is exactly the same as mine. I did have my hernia repaired but Di have a family history of gallbladder. I'm in so much pain. I knew I shouldn't of ate that cheese of a slice of pizza. Argg.

    5 months post op

Same here. I was not eating enough and my dr made me set timers to eat every two hours. I have been slipping and eating more carbs than I should but I snapped out of it and started a clean slate. Making sure I have the right amount of protein daily, eat it first and drink more water. I'm so afraid I'm going to gain the weight back.

    Regret

I know exactly how you feel. I too felt that way. But now that I am almost 5 months post op, I am super happy and feel Amazing! Please know your just going through a stage and it will pass. Try to focus on something else. You just made a life change and your journey just began. Enjoy your new life. And keep in mind that it will get easier and you will truly start to feel great. What helped me was more meditating. If you haven't done this before go to YouTube and search how to mediate. Good luck.

    Good protein powder?

I also like organize "Hello Beautiful organic protein shake". Only 12 g of protein but super tasty. I add PB2 for extra flavor and protein.

    Good protein powder?

Unjury is awesome. I actually mix it in my cup of coffee. I found on this blog, a cup that has a spinner in it and it mixes it up well. Got it on Amazon.

    STALL! Am I done losing?

I am 4 months out and been stuck at same weight. My doctors/Nut said I'm. It rating enough? So she had me increase it. It's so hard to get food in. But I want to lose 30 more lbs. she also said give it till end of year.
  22. Oh ok yes I misunderstood. Best of luck on your journey and best of everything with your son. I know it's hard and I'm sure your doing a great job.

    My Hunger Has Returned!!

I was using genepro but my NUT said stay away. It's false advertising. And that it's impossible to get 32 G protein in I tbls. I went back to injury unflavored. Little flavor but not bad at all.
  24. Your doing great and let that one day be in the past. As far as junk food in the house , I have a son with mental illness who uses food as a coping mechanism for depression. Heck I was too which lead me to getting the sleeve. But now my son (19) is severely overweight for two reasons. One, he is pretty much home bound and two, he was eating too much junk. SO post my sleeve surgery I started buying sugar free and other healthy snacks for me and him. My husband can eat whatever he wants. We have a secret cabinet for his junk. But for my son, I want him to live a healthy lifestyle so got rid of junk. I understand why you need it in your household but maybe trying healthy snacks as a way for your son to coup. I know it's so so hard and I wish you the best but I just wish I had done healthy snacks years ago and maybe by son wouldn't not have this weight problem. He was always a thin child. Best of luck on your journey and god bless you and your child.
  25. Yes chew chew so your tummy can process it better. Plus taking your time is better for your digestive system. I don't drink with my meals. I may have a sip when out with friends so I look "normal" but you don't want to fill up on liquids, you need your protein. You had a life style change. Change is hard but you will get use to it. Good luck. Jan 11, 2017 SW - 217 CW - 168 GW - 140
