My surgery will be on Feb 3, 2017. BUt having had problems in the past, I keep atea called Smooth Move in the pantry. I've used it for years. It's a bit like licorice and very relaxing. I will usually go within a few hours. It's a natural Senna, so no weird side effects. I get mine at the grocery store.

Hey friends! I just filled out my paperwork this morning! I've requested a surgery date of February 3, 2017! I will be Vlogging mhy journey on Youtube as 50 year old me. I would love to get a few bariatric buddies to join me so we can pray for and encourage one another! Can't wait to get my approval. I'm going to use the same doc as my Sis in Law did in Mexico. She has been doing great and losing about 10 lb a month. Once I get the clearance and date firmed up I'll post more! Today I'm weighing in at 315, HW 325, goal 150. 50 yrs old, 2 preteen boys, stay at home mom <3 Will you join me?!

I know this will be a very different journey for us than it is for 20-30 somethings... I would love to be bariatric buddies with y'all! My weight now is about 315, HW was 325, my goal is 150, that way I should have some room for movement of about 5 +/- at the end Looking forward to this journey!

I'm having my VSGA in early February, so i can't answer that yet. But I'm sure it had a lot to do with it. Everything seems slower already. 50 year old me!!

Did anyone, post menopausal, start a period back up after VSG? I had a strange 3 day period about 6 months ago, otherwise I've not had one in about 2 years. Just wondering if there's anyone who's experienced this... Also do you have increased sex drive???

I'm not really going tho tell. I hear So many awful comments. I'm doing this for me, no one else. I'm going to Mexico, my sis in law had hers there and it has been very successful! Its only about $5,000 there! 50 year old me!!

I was trolling facebook this morning and so many people were questioning their decision... It got me to thinking about my life and how I got to where I am. I am 50. Yes 50! This is gonna be my best year ever! I am the mom of two preteen boys! I am a happily married, Christian, stay at home mom. I trust my husband and his decisions and opinions. And he loves me no matter what. But it hasn't always been that way. I was in a 17 year abusive marriage, I got married at 18 and it was downhill starting on our honeymoon... I spent the years running to food to eat away the pain. I would yoyo, lose, gain more, and ended up depressed and angry. My highest weight was about 325, maybe more, I was too ashamed to weigh myself... So, when I turned 50 I decided to take care of myslef for the first time ever. This Jan or Feb I am getting sleeved! My husband, of 13 years now, is totally supportive, He wants me to stay by his side as we grow older together! My kids are worried, but my 12 year old said "Mom I just want you to be healthy and stay with me". So for the first time in my life, I'm saying yes to me. I'm saying yes to life. I'm saying yes to taking control and taking care! No one is taking my control away or talking me out of this. I want to do this for me I''m Vlogging on YouTube under 50 year old me. I want to be held accountable. I want to surround myself with like minded people <3 I am so thanful to have found this site and to have found others who struggle with life the same way I do, and who have made the decision to fight for ourselves for the first time ever <3

There is a girl in my circle of friends that is having VSG for her Pcos. Her surgery is Friday, today several of the girls were making the "she's taking the easy way out " comments. I'm having mine in Jan or Feb, I've been doing lots of research and watching videos, I'm as prepared as i can be. I just kept my mouth shut, i wanted to tell them I'm doing it too and there is nothing easy about it! I don't think I'm going to tell anyone because people are so ugly. I'm ready though! I turned 50in May, I'm at 309 now, high bp, high cholesterol, bad knees, bad feet, back, headaches, apnea, and 2 preteen boys. I'm looking forward to a whole new lifestyle! 50 year old me!!

I'm worried about this too, because I'm a taster. I taste everything I give them. But I am 50 years old. I am an older mom in my group and I want to be around for my kids! My hubby and I will be retirement age when the boys graduate HS/college. I want to see them be married and have children of their own. So that is my motivation, my desire, my hopes for the future. Many sis in law used WeightLossAgents.com i plan to use them as well. The surgery it's about $4K . she was there with about 20other women and had remained in touch with them. They've all had great results! 50 year old me!!
