So you can't have nail polish or hair extensions in for surgery???

Just left my surgeon office, everything is a go, they gave me my wipes that I have to wipe certain area of the body with, signed up for my monthly vitamins.... I'm ready march 27th, and I have to do only one week pre op diet before surgery

I am so excited. I have been checking the mail for two weeks with no mail for my approval date. Then I received the most wonderful call today from the surgeons office. I have a surgery date for March 2nd and I am so super uber excited!. Yay! I'm a March sleever!!!!!! Any other March Sleevers. Hello! Anyone have NYSHIP Empire Plan (United Health Care/ Blue Cross Blue Shield) I'm currently going through the Bariatric program with UHS here and the coordinator told me that we can't submit any paperwork until 90 days from 2/2, which will bring us to May, for approval to insurance. I'm curious in how long it took for approval & surgery. I'm almost 1/2 through the program. And am trying to envision a timeline .. I'm hopefully for early June.

Yay congrats march sleevers in the house!!!!!!

Was supposed to have surgery on Tuesday. Got canceled. Postponed till march 3rd now moved up to TOMORROW!! In exactly 24 hours I will be where I want to be and I couldn't be happier!! Yes yes yes yes!! I have emotional whiplash from being approved to canceled to hopeless to excited but I'm forsure ready!! Wish me luck!!

I haven't told my mom abt the surgery, but I have talked abt it, and she said you don't need nothing like that your good the way you are, she so sweet! But I have been fighting this weight for years.

Good morning all!

I can't even begin to tell you about all the mixed emotions I have flowing through my body! But today is my day! I'll be getting the sleeve. It will be my first surgery as an adult so I'm very very nervous. On the other hand, I'm more excited to finally be here for my life changing journey! I just got this app yesterday and I wish I knew of it sooner! Since I downloaded it last night, I have not stopped reading!! There's so much info and great stories shared! I absolutely love it!! I hope to have many more convos and gather even more tips and info from those who know best..THE ONES THAT WENT THROUGH IT THEMSELVES! Anything anybody wants to share please feel free! I'm all ears!
