I got the rny not the sleeve on December 12th. I had planned to return to work January 3rd, but I got a pretty bad infection in one of the incision sites and just returned to work yesterday. My suggestion would be to hope for two weeks but plan for a month to six weeks if there are complications. I still have to pack the incision site twice daily! Good luck on your surgery!Hello! I am getting the gastric sleeve and need to give my work some sort of idea. Ideally, I would like to return ASAP. I work in fashion apparel and sit at a desk 24/7 with travel at different times of the year. I can schedule my surgery to be far away from traveling. But how long did it take for most of you to return ?

I had surgery 12/12/16 and im having some regrets. Mine are primarily because of the infection I got afterwards and am still dealing with. Also I've been stuck at same weight for a week now and it's bugging the crap outta me.

I had my surgery on the 12th (bypass, not sleeve), and yesterday when i went to change my dressing (the one that has to be packed), out flowed a river of pus and blood. Went to the ER and was told this was "normal" at this point past surgery, was called a seroma, and to expect it to continue to drain. Never had heard about this when researching the surgery, has anyone else had an issue with this?

I started my liquid diet on the 26th and im having a really hard time dealing with hunger. Mostly head hunger, i think. Seeing my hubby chow down on a big burger is emotionally painful. Surgery scheduled for December 12th, and still waiting for insurance approval. Stress hitting hard. Juat having a tough night...

I'm 3 and a half months out and I'm losing handfuls of hair each day. It's so depressing! I watch it just get thinner and thinner every day and wonder when it will stop, or if I'm going to end up bald...
