I started at 311 I believe on surgery date.
I know this last week I have been eating the wrong food. I got depressed and just said forget this.
I only ate bread, Pasta and rice this last week. I cook for the family and they were all sick of eating healthy and I am not using that as an excuse. I just fell off the wagon because I was depressed with my progress.I mean I am so stoked I am not in the three hundreds anymore. But I am so terrified of going back there and putting myself through all this for nothing.
I spent a week screaming at myself " what the hell did you just do you stupid witch" following surgery. I have a 10 pound cyst and my left ovary removed and it hurt but NOTHING alike this surgery did. It took me a long time to get that big. I have pcos but I am also an emotional eater. And it's like I am always hungry and if I don't keep myself occupied I will walk to visit my old friend food. My periods have been light since the surgery. But I have been dizzy a few days here and there and my blood pressure has been running kinda in the low side. I do drink fluids. Mostly Water and unsweetened Decaf tea with sugar free lemonade here as that is the only sugar free stuff I can stomach.
But then I get sick of those and will have a little sugar in my tea once in a while it all the time.
I don't have a nut, my doctor that did my surgery actually left the practice and joined another one so I have to go through the process of either moving my records to the new practice or staying where I am. I only actually saw her twice. The first visit and the day of surgery. I see a assistant for my follow up visits. So I am kinda in limbo right now.
As I am afraid of the scales when I get to the doctor.
I have stopped from a size 28 to a size 24 jeans. I was so excited about that but I hate the way I look. My skin is starting to hang worse then it did and it looks stretched out if that makes any sense. I guess I am coming to realize I can't do this in my own like I thought I could......

Go to a therapist. My doc office requires one. I think you need that sounding board who can help keep you loving you. [emoji171] Do you have a hobby? That helps to keep us busy. Do you have Facebook or email? I can share some recipes with you. I'd love to help remind you of why we chose this path. It would help me to.

No I know I need to because my clothes are looser and I can wear things I never was able to before I measured before surgery I need to find them.
I know everyone is different and I know this a tool not a quick fix. It took me a long time to come to this decision. I am 40 and it's just depressing when I see people saying they have lost 50-100 pound in 4-5 months and that they can barely eat.
This surgery was very painful and I still have pain when I do crunches where they removed part of my stomach, the gas, the way my stomach makes sounds out in public. Lol

So many factors to look at. The weight you start at plays a role in how much you lose in the first months. Another, is what you're eating not just how much. Possibly too many carbs or sugars. My doctor has me on no breads, Pasta, rice or junk basically for my first 6 months. I pretty just eat Protein. Lots of meat. Also it could be muscle but I don't think it would give a 7 pound gain although Water retention could. Are you get enough liquid in? If you are drinking while you eat that would also cause you to eat more at one sitting. Does your doctor give you access to a nutritionist?

Then there is something I am seriously doing wrong. I was sleeved in 2/21/16 I weighted 311 and I went down to 280 now I am back up to 287. I always feel hungry and while I know I don't eat more then a child I KNOW I am eating more then a 1/2 cup of food. I was walking two to four miles a day. Now I go to the gym four to five days a week I have no idea what I am doing wrong. And help would be great!

Do you weigh your food. I only weigh out 4 ounces. Mostly I can finish it but feel full other times I can't finish it. Are u drinking at the same time you are eating ?

My doctor recommended me to have the Sleeve.

I like the fact you took the picture in the same clothing and same pose. That was extremely smart. That shows true weight loss.
Thank you! It just made sense to me. [emoji171]

It's been 4 months since my surgery. I'm down 77.2 pounds. So far so good, haven't gotten sick or anything. Had a stall right after my 3 month appt. my struggle is the Hair loss. I feel at the rate it's coming out I could go bald. Is that possible? I know you can't stop it but I'm concerned for sure.

Just discharged from hospital. Feeling odd trying out my new stomach by myself. Just scared about trying new things. But I'm getting there slowly.

First day I feel I can actually function. Minimal pain. And able to sip so much better today. Amazing how nervous we can be just before, but feels great to be on this side of the mountain.
