No, they sent the request after everything my insurance required had been completed, also make sure you stay on top of your surgeons office and insurance as they like to take their time. I called to make sure they sent in my request and then after I jade confirmation they had, bugged the hell out of my insurance until it was approved. Ok, let me clarify, your insurance requirements are different than your surgeons requirements. Like my surgeon ordered an EGD which could've been done before or after approval. Your Dr. May order a sleep study which is diagnosed with sleep apnea will heighten your chances for approval. My surgeon hasn't asked or said anything about it and after reading through the packet I got during my dietician evaluation it only stated no nicotine. Yeah I have my family on board and best friend who knew me when I was a size 3/5 is as well. My male best friend is on board after me going off lol and boyfriend just wants me to be happy but my overweight best friend and another over weight "friend" aren't and think I should just diet and exercise telling me im not thst big and don't need ???? I honestly wish I would've kept this decision a secret from everyone but my immediate family...so much negativity....I can't deal. All I wanted was support and instead I got people questioning my decision and telling me what they feel I need and don't need. Hey all, so I was approved yesterday {Yay} [emoji119] [emoji122] [emoji1] and it took me forever to get in touch with my case manager today to find out she needed to call bcbsil and confirm although I told her I had the authorization number and that she couldn't even set the date, that she would have to forward everything to my patient advocate. To which I emailed letting him know know that I was approved including my authorization number in the email and stating that I would like a January date. I'm getting irritated because I'm trying to get a job at state farm and the training is 2 months so I can't take off. I really wanted a January date to start my new years off right and to be ready to start this position. Like what's taking so long???? I thought after getting it approved I got a surgery date just like that [emoji21] [emoji19]

I was never overweight growing up so I never had your issue, but my advice is to just jump and fly. Meet people who didn't know you or know of you before your WL. Go out and meet people. All you need is one person to go out with and meet other people ???? I'll even be your friend although I'm 24 and more like a big sister lol.
