Hey Kay! I was also banded on May 29th!!!! I have managed to loose about 30 pounds all together, 10 pre-op and about 20 post-op. I had my first fill a week ago and haven't really felt any restriction, I feel like I'm getting hungrier and hungrier every day! I'm thinking about calling tomorrow and asking to get another fill. I know what you mean about the fruits and veggies thing, I have been nervous to try certain things. Although, I am pretty much eating any foods I want. I lost most of the weight eating soup, I was eating a lot of chicken noodle up until about 2 weeks ago. Keep in touch and let me know how everythings going!!

You scream for all your family members to come upstairs so they can come see the number on the scale while you're still standing on it.

Congrats Yvonne!!! I also hit my first goal today, I finally hit ONEderland!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so excited I called my mom upstairs to come see the number on the scale for herself! I'm officially down 30 pounds, and am starting to see a difference! Of course I still have a lot to go, but right now I feel amazing!!!

I hit 199 today!!!!! I'm so excited! Its the first time the scale has started with a ONE since probably feshman year of highschool! I don't have too many good shots of me, I'll try to take a better one when I get a new camera, these will do for now though. First pic is about a month before surgery, probably about 227, second pic is on 4th of July, probably about 203.

Yeah I'm sure it will be fine. Today I hit 199! Seeing the scale start with the number ONE will be totally worth every penny :thumbup:

Pretty much almost at my highest in the beach pic, about 227 maybe? Purple shirt is probably about 203 or 202.

I don't have too many recent before pictures, I really wish I had taken some, because even though I am down almost 30 pounds I'm still not really seeing it myself. I have a couple new pics but I can't really see much difference in those either, hmm let me look at a couple and I'll consider posting lol. P.S. Lexy, you look absolutely beautiful!!!

So I just found out today that my insurance didn't cover my whole surgery and I have to pay $2000.00 That pales in comparison to the whole surgery itself, and self pays have to pay a lot more, but I'm in college and have a crappy waitressing job, I can barely pay my car insurance where am I going to find $2000.00? My parents are probably going to have to help me out and are not too happy. :/ LAME

Hahaha I might try to take one when I get my new camera some time this week, right now I only have a crappy cell phone camera that does me no justice, haha. The pic might have a bit of crack in it if no one minds hehehe.

Hey everyone, I haven't been on in a while and have noticed that a lot of us seem to be busy busy with our new, thinner, post-op lives. I just felt like checking in and saying hi! I had my first fill today! It was just a little one and was no big deal, only now I'm on liquids today then soft foods tomorrow. After being on solids for 2 weeks and being able to eat whatever I want, liquids sucks! Haha. I've started going to the gym more, I just got back from vacation so I want to go more now. I've been stuck on the same 2 or 3 pounds for the last couple weeks, so frustrating! I'm hoping that now that I'm back from vacation I can get a little more on track :tongue_smilie: I'm down 17 pounds since surgery, 27 pounds since my pre-op diet. I can't wait to break the 200 pound mark! Only 3 pounds to loose before I hit 199!! I can't wait! People have started noticing my weight loss, especially in my butt lol. How is everyone else doing???

Haha when I lay down my hip bones jut out and are very hard and protruding now lol. Every woman in my family has always complained about having massive hip bones that jut out and look so strange against their tiny, skinny bodies. Well anytime anyone was ever talking about this I would just laugh and be like, well I don't think I have hip bones. I could never feel or see them but now I can! Yay!

Hey Jenny I'm from non-western Mass, I live about 10 mins north of Providence.

Since I was like, 10 years old I always wanted a peacock tattoo lol, I just love birds and I love peacocks, at a zoo about an hour from my house they have peacocks just wild and running around the park, its so cool, they are pretty shy but occasionally will come into the food court area and take food from your hand. So when I went to get my first tattoo I knew I wanted a peacock, no special reason. I love Rilo Kiley! What lyric is it!? I have a lyric from a neutral milk hotel song on my foot. I'll try to have someone take a picture of my tattoo, I used to have a couple but they were camera phone pics that got lost when I got my new phone.

When you go out to eat with a big group of friends, order a quesidilla to split, give 2 pieces to your 95 lb friend and keep 2 to yourself, she wolfs hers down in 5 mins then gives you a strange look when you are full off two bites.

Thanks! From doing all liquids yesterday I managed to loose a pound, so now I only have 2 pounds to go before I hit 199! Once the number on the scale doesn't start with a 2 I'm going to feel so much different, so much better! I know theres not much of a difference in how someone who is 201 and someone who is 199 look, but just knowing I broke through that plateau I will feel so good!
