Hey everyone! Got back from vacation yesterday, this liquid diet is pretty brutal and vacation was not that easy, buut I'm looking at the end result, only two days until surgery!!!!!!! I can't believe it came so fast! Even though at times it felt like an eternity! Congrats to everyone who is already banded! So glad that for the most part, besides some gas pains everyone seems to be doing well! Good luck to jess and amsderb and everyone else with dates coming up today and tomorrow and so on... I'm so ready for this :smile2:

Oh no! I'm so sorry that you won't be able to get your band on the 29th! I hope you get reschedualed as soon as possible!!! Thank you so much for all the well wishes and I know everything is gonna work out good for you!!!! Good luck with the mouth infection! That sounds rough! Thanks for always being a sweatheart and thinking of me! I know I'll certainly be thinking of you! Keep me posted on how everything is going!!

Hahahaha thanks for asking about the room, I've been obsessing over it for the past week, I'm glad you're doing ok, besides the pain! Kepp taking those meds!!! The pre-op diet was rough the first couple days, its going on day 5 now, halfway there!!!! I'm so excited I just want it to come!!!! Keep me posted about how you're doing! Congrats!

Hehehe, oh you guys... I missed this episode! I was painting my room and didn't have the tv plugged in, the only song I saw was David A singing Imagine, the last song of the night. I thought he did amazing, and I have never been a fan of his. I watched the re-cap of all the songs sung tonight and even from the 5 second clips of each song I could tell they all sounded great! I'm with you guys, I have a feeling it will be... David!! hahaha oh and shinyhappymommy, I've never liked her either, and she was awful!!! Simon was on Jay Leno last night and he talked about what a bad performace it was lol.

Hey Jessica! All my friends came home from college this weekend or last, so a couple of them wanted to get together to go out to eat tonight. I felt so weak and dizzy from this stupid diet that I had to pass, I knew that right now I wouldn't be able to just sit there and watch them eat anyways. I have all my pre-op testing and by tomorrow it will only be one week until my surgery!!!! My sister that was being such a b*tch before is now really supportive, I'm in the process of telling a few friends, and I could not be more excited!!!!!! Now I'm just hoping I can make it through this diet!!!! It sounds like yours Jessica, but no bar! No solids at all! Just shakes, and sugar free Jello and popsicles and chicken broth. Good luck with everything!!!!

mine is VERY strict! Its liquids only!!! I can have sugar free jello and popsicles, I bought popsicles and they are only LOW sugar
So I'll have to save them and eat them later or something, I can have 3 cups of yogurt a day, and can only drink crystal light/water. No real foods pretty much... Its really hard!! I go for my pre-op testing at the hospital tomorrow, I'm not even sure what they are gonna do... hmm, should be fun, keep me posted !!! -

Today was day one of my pre-op diet too... I was good all day, eating sugar free jello and popsicles, I had a protein shake for lunch, and crystal light throughout the day. BUT I was painting my room by myself all day and got totally wiped out! By dinner time I had a massive headache and needed food!!!!!!!!! I made a little egg substitute and that held me over. NOW I should go to bed but I am starving!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhh the temptation is killing me and this is just day one!!!!!! So don't worry you're not alone! -

I know I'm so excited!!! Part of me wishes I had more time to PIG OUT, hahaha, but most of me is so excited to get on with my life!! The first day of my 10 day pre-op liquid diet wasn't too bad, I've been having cravings for normal food but haven't been giving in to them, which is good, and unlike me, lol. Although I was working so hard today painting my room by myself, that come dinner time, my head was pounding and I could barely see straight, so I cooked a little egg substitute and that gave me the bit of energy I needed to get through the rest of the day. I don't think theres anything wrong with weening myself into the liquid diet a little slowly, and the egg substitute was the only thing I ate today not on my list... hahah I'm just trying to convince myself I'm not a cheater lol. Haha amsderb, when I had an appointment with my surgeon last week, I felt so stupid not having any questions to ask him when he asked if I had any, but I really didn't! I've learned so much here I feel like I am really prepared for everything this surgery could possibly throw at me! Good luck everyone with days coming up!!! I can't believe its getting closer and closer!!!!!

Shannon I'm scared too!! I've never had surgery before, and am really nervous about a lot of aspects of it, what if I wake up during surgery!??! What if I'm paralyzed and can feel everything but can't do anything about it!? What if I don't wake up from the anathesia!? What if something goes wrong, there are so many things running through my mind. A neighbor of mine and a close friend of my sister's was killed this past Friday night in a car accident, she was only 17 and her mother died years ago, so her father is stuggling so much now. Seeing his struggle and even how much her death has affected my own family is making me think of what it would be like if I didn't make it. I'm sure everything will be fine (fingers crossed) but I still have all these fears in the back of my head.

Hey everyone!! I have a low BMI when it comes to being pre-banded I suppose, its certainly not low regaring where it should be, right now its about 41.2 I think? I'm getting my band in only 9 days!!!!!! I can't believe it!!!!

Marine! Good luck today!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fill me in with how everything goes!!!! Last night was my last night before my liquid diet started this morning, and I've been working really hard to re-do my bedroom and finish school and blah, blah, blah, so I was really tired and sad about losing food as comfort, and I had to sleep on the couch downstairs because I'm still working on my room. SO as I was laying on the couch watching tv, I came across Big Medicine!!! There was only one more episode left in the marathon, but that one episode really helped me get in a better mood. The one I watched was about gastric bypass, but it was still nice to see how better everyones lives were afterwards, I would have loved to see an episode about the lap band! Good luck again!!!!

Yup.... It wouldn't have been that bad, except I'm still in the process of re-doing my room, and today I spent the whole day painting, so I was climbing up and down the stool and painting and working up a sweat and by dinner time my head was pounding and I could barely see straight! SO I caved a little and had a little egg substitute for dinner. It was my first day so I don't think weeing myself into it slowly is a bad idea. How are you doing???? Only 9 days now!!! AHHH!

Hey bandfan, I'm glad that you could handel that piece of pizza!!!!!!!!! Pizza is my favorite food, maybe I'll put it in a blender and make me some pizza shakes..... HA!!! Congrats on all your success!!!!

Hahaha Kristey K, when you get tattoos, you may know if you have some, they have that horrible itching when they start to heal, and since you can't scratch them the place I went to recommends that you slap them since you can't itch them, the first tattoo I got goes from the middle of my back down to my butt cheeck, hehehe, when it started to heal, and itch, I started to walking around all day, slapping my butt... lol. It was really an interesting sight. I'm glad everything besides that pesky itching is going well! I would say slap it, but I'm sure that would be really painful!!
