Grats on your banding and welcome to Bandland! Many have said that Gas-X works for them, but many others say that getting up and walking around works faster and better. If you get any pains in your shoulder or stomach from the gas, you might try a heating pad on that area. Remember to keep yourself hydrated too! Keep us posted on your progress!

LOL 3Loves, I know what you mean about being fascinated by the weather shows on the Weather Channel. My faves are the ones about tornados. If I were rich like the Donald, I'd be out chasing tornados!

Can we please not have more issues escalated to the point of a fight? Really, is fighting over Donald Trump and the value of the dollar what this thread was, is, or should be, about? I think everyone is very aware of the threat of the hurricane and they are probably watching closely so they can be prepared. It was very nice of you to be concerned about folks, truly. But I really do think it's time to let this go now.

Hey IdahoBeauty, you should come with us to the next support group. There are usually a lot of people there who haven't been banded yet and they give them time to ask questions about the band. Oo Oo! I have a story about paps - well sort of. Once I was in the emergency room for what was thought to be a cyst on an ovary which had broken. I was in so much pain! Well, the stupid Dr let that metal duck-billed torture device shut and jerked it out.. only it had shut on my tender innards. Yes, I let out a yelp and cried like a little biotch.

There are two per month. Usually the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month. The next one will be on Sept 12. But you know you don't have to wait for a support meeting. I'm sure most of us would love an excuse to go out to dinner and visit!

TOM, I can see that you are shaken by past events and the possiblity of more to come. But please keep in mind that it's always important to help everyone stay calm. Panic brings on the 30 minute lines and fist fights at the gas pumps. The best anyone can do is -calmly- prepare for the storm or make the decision that the stress of living in such an area is too much. To me it seems a bit overboard to frighten people into panic and alarm. That is when people get hurt even if the storm never shows up. And I'm sure that the people who have posted here are compassionate people who would be the first ones out the door to help others in the even of a major catastrophe.

And now for another espisode from "The Fat and the Banded" Last week, Roly Poly Patsy had just learned that her best friend Lumpy Lardo Lidia had been sleeping with her boyfriend Fatty McGatty Fred, who was the bastard son of Banded Betty Bopo, only he doesn't know it because Betty left him on the doorstep of the nunnery where Sister Sharon Skinnythighs found him and raised him on bread and potatoes. This week, we tune in just as Pastor Bill Bigbum reveals to his congregation that Sister Sharon Skinnythighs was secretly banded some years back and has been living a double life as a stripper on the seedy side of town, where Dumpling Danny spotted her and identified her as his long lost daughter from his first marriage to Roly Poly Patsy who is about to open a letter from the insurance company that will determine whether or not she can qualify to get banded.....

Now now.. be careful about using the term "should move on". I know from first hand experience that phrase really upsets some people.

I'm fairly confident that Alex is very aware of the activity on this board and who has multiple accounts. I'm even more confident in his ability to handle his own hand-picked moderators. Basically, what a couple of people in this thread are doing is telling Alex that he can't manage his own staff. I think that's a shame. I have also served as an Admin on talkers and online games and it has always been my opinion that the owner of the site needs not answer to anyone about how they run their site. They pay for it. They run it. It belongs to them. If someone doesn't like the way a site like LBT is run, there are plenty of other message boards and chat rooms to frequent. In my opinion, this is no different that opening you house to guests who then demand to know how you run your home and why it is run the way it is.
