I'm rarely in a pissy mood. *laughs* That's why I found it so shocking when some people took my posts in that tone (in the past). I'm more like a happy puppy with floppy ears, always ready to have a good time - then feed me and let me sleep. :Banane56: I guess I could agree with not allowing an entire thread to be delted, but as we have discussed before - what's the point in that when your entire post has been Quoted elsewhere in the thread? If you are going to take away the option to completely remove a thread that someone has started and then later regrets it, I think you'll have to do away with the quote option as well. And then people can still copy and paste. So that still isn't achieving anything. I think people should have the right to remove a thread that has become a source of upset and pain to them, for whatever reason. If that leaves us open to people who also delete threads because they are angry, or are just in a pissy mood, then so be it. I see no reason to treat everyone like a child just because one or two have behaved like one. (Not that I think anyone did, but that seems to be the basis for these changes.) I do realize that you are trying to do what you think is best for LBT, Alexandra. And I can see where you are coming from in your thinking on this. However, I really disagree with the proposed changes.

Yeah, Kat, I see your point on that. I don't know. I just hate losing freedom to make my own choices because of one or two people who do something that we don't like. As Alex said, this hasn't been a problem before and perhaps just talking about it and making everyone realize that they take away a lot more than their own posts when they delete a thread is enough. I never misused the delte option nor have 99% of the people here. But becuase of one or two who have, we all must be put on some sort of restriction. That just doesn't seem right to me.

I know a lot of Texas LBT sisters I would love to meet in person! I'd definitely be up for something like that. Wow, I'm glad I've been tanning! :Banane56:

Welcome to Bandland, MelAnne! Isn't the initial loss exciting?! As Tina said, it will slow down. The first time I only saw 1 pound lost in a week, I cried! *laughs* Youre doing wonderfully. Already up and out on errands, that's great. Just be careful not to over do, keep yourself hydrated, and get as much of your 60 grams of protein in per day as you can. I relied on Bean with Bacon soup blended until creamy to keep me from getting hungry. I also sipped a lot of chicken broth and vegetable broth. After so many cold protein shakes and water, I was dying for something warm and those things did the trick.

Apparently the moderators and owner of LBT are in discussions about taking away our Edit and Delete functions. For now, you can only Edit your posts for 24 hours after it is posted. After that, no more Editing. So that means I cannot make this week's updates on the original pages. So, I have decide to just repost the pages below. If and when we get the Edit function back, I will move these to the original pages and ask the moderators to delete these two posts, as they will be redundant. After thought - Why can't we just give everyone the room to be responsible adults and accept the fact that there will be some who aren't very good at that? This policing of our individuality is annoying. If there are folks who tend to wipe out threads, then don't post important things on their threads. Or go start one of you own that wont be deleted by anyone else. This seems like overreaction to a once in a while problem if you ask me. Do the moderators really need to be babysitters here? For crying out loud. No offense, Alexandra. I just don't see why the actions of one justify the punishment of all.

You know what's funny? To come back and read all of these posts and see how many of you misunderstood someone else or took their post to be in a snotty tone, when I didnt see any of that at all! I do this too though and it's caused me to jump on someone when I had no right or cause to do so. And very many times people have mis-read my tone in posts and thought me to be a controlling bitch. Well.. I am a controlling bitch but thats another story. *clears throat* Get along you guys! They adopted me. :Banane56: By the way, there is a FAQ forum on the main LBT page that has a thread called Links. There you will find so many super links to lapband information that it will take you days to get through it all. But, the more you learn, the better prepared you are to make a decision. So check it out. Give out a shout if you can't find it ok?
