Congratulations on your decision and your progress. I was sleeved on10/10/16 and feel I am a really slow loser. And it is uncanny how closely we track. HW - 242 SW - 233 CW - 206 So, I've been really disappointed at how slowly I'm losing. But as you said I am at leasts losing. I'm diabetic and my doctor said we lose slower and less that others. I have had several stalls, once lasting 2-1/2 weeks right after surgery. For the last few weeks I have been losing and just had my biggest loss of 6 lbs, yeah! I do stick to my plan faithfully, but still have trouble getting in the Water. I am doing better with it. And although I am suppossed to cut out the Protein shakes now, I still can't eat enough protein to get in my 50 gms per day. So I supplement half of it. Keep up the good work, we'll get ot our goal sooner than later
  5. Jitters will be replaced with giggles when the weight starts dropping off...is it hard yes...is it worth it HELL yes thunder32 I was sleeved in Oct after being told that if I didn't lose the weight it was not a matter of "if I would have a heart attack, but when." It sounds like you made the right choice, even if it's the hard choice. Your baby deserves it and you deserve to be around for him. I'm being sleeved in the morning and for the first time the jitters are starting to come out. I just had a moment thinking why am I doing this, this can't be real, I can't do this. But then I read your post, and I know I can. I have to, for my 1 year old baby. It will be worth it for all of us! The funny thing is, when I'm not fearing the surgery, I don't understand why I was having doubts. But when I let the fear take over, I can't remember why I want to do this and just think of ways to back out. So thank you! For reminding me why I need to do this. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App So I wasn't fearful, but anxious. I was up and walking a few hours afted surgery and kept going. My advice to you is t keep on moving as much as you are able to. And get that Protein in. I got so weak, in week 2 - 3 I didn't think I'd make it. That's when I found this app and whether they now it or not, they guided me through. Once I got the protein and Fluid balance going I felt like a million bucks. Good luck to you!. And to you DisneyMom.

Protein vs Calories what's too much

This has been a helpful conversation and may be a clue as to my slow weight loss. I wasn't getting enough Protein or calaries initially. So I was we for weeks. Then I think I may have over done it, I am almost 3 months out (10/10) and have only lost 22 lbs post op. I hadn't heard about the 30 gram rule, so I'll take that into consideration. On my own I started keeping a food journal with my fitness tracker. I is helpful

It might be a fine line...

It did help me. I struggle with measurements, and trying to eat Protein, veggie, starch at a meal. So 3 oz of chicken, pretty much eliminates everything else. I feel the pressure in my chest so soon after I start eating, I don't believe I could be full. It only takes a bite or 2 more the start the unpleasantness. I'm learning though, and this seldom happens now. Have you ever heard that the food is still in the top of the sleeve 2 hours after eating?
  9. Your advice is great Aggiemae. Thank you for your compassion.
  10. I'm not perfect as some of you appear to be, but I do try to stick exactly to my doctor's plan. And I don't go outside of the plan phase in general. But it is very hard when you see that other doctors allow certain foods earlier than other do or that others never allow. I wish you good going veryblessed, it's hard. But I expected that.
  11. Hi, VeryBlessed. How are you doing? I hope your holiday season was fun and blessed. I stugglesd a bit with wanting things not good for me. But i made it through without too much damage.
  12. Good morning. I didn't "cheat" until recently at almost 3 months. And it only a bite of something off my plan, but on others plan at the same phase I'm in. I am still pretty faithful to my plan. Because I agree that nothing is worth injury and derailment after what I've endured. I am a little disappoid because the weight loss is so slow for me. I am just begining to feel wanting, but not because I'm hungry, but because I remember what food taste like. Hang in there, those eggs are only a short time away! Stick to your plann though, so you won't have rome

    Weight lost

    Why is it overwhelming
  17. I needed to read this today. I am almost 3 months out, 10/10/16 and not losing well at all. I have only lost a total of 32 lbs, which includes the preop diet period. I have picked up the activity level and stick fairly strictly to the diet plan. Your message is encouraging. Keep up the good work, you look fabulous. And thank s for blessing me today

Well done, my soul mate. I too was sleeved on 10/10/2016. Have lose 32 lbs, I feel better knowing I an in the ballpark! I am just beginning to get more Protein from food than the Protein shake. My GERD has been moderate but it does break through every few days making drinking difficlut. But I am thankful for the weight loss and for getting my face back . Continued success!

    I've Got A Surgery Date!

Well good luck Kitsune. I was sleeved on 10/10/2016. I had a relatively easy time and I'm 69 years old. The gas was bearable and walking did help. I had a small pain pump that went home with me. When I took it out a few days later, I realised what a great job it did. I then took the pain pills sporadiclly for about 2 days. I agree that you need to drink the fluids, but from what I'm hearing most of us have problems getting in 64 oz. Do your best to keep sipping. I found that S/F popciles and Jello were wonderful. And that hot broth the baum. Pre op I could only have Protein Water, not the shake and 1/2 strength gator ade. I made it through intact and the doctor said my liver shrunk perfectly. My post op problem was weakness. I thought I would never walk again. I hadn't joined a support group, but I came to this site and lo and behold theyy were talking about drinking the protein. I reduced the Fluid I was trying to take with my protein and started getting in the 50 grams every day in one shake. What a blessing over the days, I got stronger and stronger and now about 4 weeks later I am feeling wonderful. I am so peppy, I have even been decorating for Christmas. I feel good and so will you! God bless!
  20. I know you will be OK. Good luck on everything and may God continue to bless you.
  21. Great news. Good Luck!
  22. No he didn't deserve you. Have you thought about getting counseling to help put him behind you? although he was apparently bad for you, I sense you are holding on to the hurt. You have to let it go and let God!. I'm not a professional I am just sensing in all your responses the hurt is deep. Please take care ou YOU!
  23. Wow! What a testimony! I wish you much success and feel that without a doubt YOU wili get to 159!
