I am 56 and was sleeved on 12/6/16. My friends and family tell me I look 10 years younger. Best decision I have ever made.

I was in the hospital for one night. I used my phone for amusement and music, my toothbrush and a clean pair of underwear.

I was sleeved on December 6th and haven't lost any weight since then. I am still on liquids, and I feel so disappointed

I'm in Mexico in my second day out of surgery. My music on my phone has been great, or ear plugs. I am back at my hotel, so being able to walk the floors help

My sleeve was done on the 6th. I spent a lot of time walking the halls, about everything 90 minutes-2 hours. That really helps. Or if that is too much, then try just standing for a couple of minutes

Try blending ice cubes and non-fat milk with your Protein Powder, that makes a nice change. I use a brand called Vitaleph, which is recommended by my surgeon. I am on my 3rd week of the shakes, and it is getting boring. I got some of the GENEPRO Protein powder and mix that with Water. I never really liked broth before, but I like it just fine now. I have a cup of that in the evening.
Hang in there...it's only for now.

I'm having surgery on the 6th in Mexico with Maytorena but I'm going to get there on the 5th to have to to rest and sightsee before surgery . I'm so anxious and nervous. I just want to get it over with. I'm starting my liquid diet tomorrow. My doctor told me to only do a 3 day diet, but I figured I might as well try to do at least 5 days to see how much weight I can lose before hand and start getting my body ready to eating
My surgery is December 6th in Mexico as well!! Who is your Surgeon?I'm getting surgery on December 6 in Mexico. I would love to join.Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

I am going to Mexico for my surgery on December 6th, and I fly in in December 5th. I have been on my pre op diet for 10 days. Protein shakes with nonfat milk or unsweetened almond milk. This hasn't been hard for me, I am used to depriving myself of meals trying to lose weight. The hard part is waiting until Monday to get on the airplane. I wish it was tomorrow

I lost 13 pounds during my 2 week pre op, 3 Protein shakes a day and lots if green leafy vegetables. If I am really hungry, I have a hard boiled egg. The hardest part was giving up bread, but it is worth it. My surgery is December 6th.

My pre op diet is 3 Protein shakes a day and lots of green leafy vegetables. I fill up on big bowls of salad greens with about a tablespoon of vinaigrette. That helps with the craving to chew something

Day 1 of my 2 week pre-op diet! So far so good
I'm allowed 2 Protein shakes, 1 Soup and 2 Snacks per day. Hoping I can fill up on Water and Decaf tea in between.
Anyone have suggestions or ideas that might make this easier, I'm open to hearing them.

Sometimes I sip warm Water, which seems to help with the boredom of drinking all the Water

It all depends on the surgeon. My pre op diet is 3 Protein shakes and all the leafy greens I want, provided I use fat free dressing. I just use vinegar. Only 6 days left

My surgery date is December 6th, and I can't wait!
I have been on my pre-op diet for a week now, 3 Protein Shakes and lots of green leafy vegetables. If I get really hungry, I'll have a hardboiled egg. On Thanksgiving I had a small slice of turkey, and a big green salad. No one said anything about my choice of foods!
My food funeral was in early November, and it consisted of a lot of good bread, cheese and wine.
I am going to Mexico and self paying, which is still less expensive than the out of pocket costs for having it done locally in Washington State. On my flight to San Diego, I will be on my second day of Clear Liquids, and I am planning to bring some Soup mixes for the flight.
My motto is New Me in 2017!

I've had several surgeries, so the pain doesn't worry me. It usually means you are healing. Take your pain meds as prescribed and remember, it's only for now

I am in the same boat. I am trying to eat 700 or 800 calories a day, but I can only manage 500-600. I have been losing and gaining and losing the same pound for a week now
