I was banded in Jan of 06. Over the past 2 months I have had a wierd feeling in my neck and shoulder. It feels like my esophagus gets really weak sometimes. Almost like I cant swallow. Even talking is uncomfortable. I have had a cat scan and an ultrasound and they found nothing. I go tomorrow for a barium swallow. I really hope they figure something out soon because this is driving me crazy. I dont PB. And I never have acid reflux. But they have put me on meds for it in case. Hopefully I will know more soon.

I drink a glass or two of wine a couple times a week. It does not ever give me a problem. I do feel like it affects me quicker now and I cant drink as much. I have not tried beer because of the carbonation.

I think she was just excited about her wedding like most of us are. And I would think that most people in show business would get free things. I probably would have taken things if they were offered to me to. I think that sometimes people will just find anything to pick someone apart. Just my opinion though.

I also think she looks awesome. And I dont think her personality changed. I think she probably just got a little more back bone and does not want to put up with peoples crap any more. I know being over weight for so long I have aways put up with so much crap from other people. I have noticed now that I am feeling better about myself I stick up for myself a lot more. I am very happy for her and I dont think the View is the same without her.

I love my band because it does not let me over eat like I used to. Dont get me wrong I still struggle with my food choices. But now when I do bad it is like 4 cookies bad instead of a whole bag of chocolate chip cookies. It is painful if I over do it. So I have learned not to. It is awesome!!

What is a bodybugg? I have never heard of this before.

Wow $4100.00 for a lift and aug is great. I am just getting implants with no lift because it is so much cheaper. I am paying $4500.00 for just that though. It was going to be $4000.00 mor if I got a lift to. I just cant come up with that kind of money.I do really need a lift though. Maybe later I guess. I would love to get my arms done to. I was a 44 D and I am now a 40/42 B. I am having my boobs replaced on April 5th. I cant wait.They ordered them yesterday. That is so weird to say. I do miss them. That is the only thing I miss though. Well that and brownies. :-) But yes mine did get a lot smaller.

I dont know if you remember but last a couple weeks ago I wrote because I felt like my throat was really tight. Well I went to the Dr and of coarse they thought it was reflux from my band. Even after I told them I have never had reflux. Well I bugged them enough and they sent me for an ultrasound yesterday. They found a nodule on my thyroid and my lymph node on that same side is 3 times bigger then should be. So now I am really freaking out. I just lost my dad this past October from Lymphoma so this is really bringing up a lot of feelings. I just want to know what this is. Have any of you experienced anything like this?

Well I went to the Dr and he said the nodule is 7 mm and they do not asperate unless it is 10 or over. But they did blood work and said everything came back fine. Now I guess we are focusing on my throat and lymph node. It is really bugging me because it is swollen and at night it hurts me ear and jaw a little. I dont have an appointment with an ENT until next Friday. Kind of annoys me because its not like its just a little cold. There is deffinitly something going on and that is the quickest they can see me? I think I am going to call around today to see if anyone can see me sooner. I just want someone to look down my throat with that scope thing. We will see what happens. I will keep you updated. Thanks for the replies.

Annalee- I actually have already been going through my Dr about this for about a month. I am not the type to just wait things out and see if they get better.Sometimes it just feels better to talk to people whenever I am nervous. I go to have a biopsy done today. Thanks for posting back everyone. I will let you know how it goes.

I took my 6 year old to a birthday party yesterday and we had to walk up 2 flights of stairs. Normally I would have had to go really slow or look for an elevator and then take a break at the top until I could talk again. But I got almost to the top and relized I did it without even losing my breath! I tried to control my excitment because not many people would understand. Then we went to the movies last night to see that new move called Wild Hogs. Awesome movie by the way. But I had not been to this theater in about 5 years because they do not have the arm rests that move up and down. Last time I went I killed myself getting into one. Well last night I had extra room. It was so great. I just wanted to share. I am in love with my band. Good thing its not a man becaue my husband would have some heavy compatition. Just kidding. But it is great. Thanks for letting me share.

I buy the generic Ibuprophin from Walmart. The pills are small enough for me that I dont have to cut them.

I lost a lot of hair a few months after my surgery. I mean like a whole lot. It would scare me so bad that I would get sick to my stomach whenever I would brush my hair out after a shower. When I quit losing so fast it stopped completely and is now growing back in. But it was very scary because you could see my scalp really bad. But now the thicknss is deffinitly back. I tried Biotin and went and spent lots of money on vitamins and protien drinks. But nothing helped but time. It will stop and it will grow back. Just give it a couple months. If you look under hair loss here you will see alot of people that had the same problem. Good luck to you.

This may sound weird. But for about 2 weeks I have felt like my throst is really swolled or tight. If I talk a lot or laugh it gets even tighter. I justr cant figure out what it is. I have been putting off going to the Dr thinking it would go away. But it has not let up at all. Has anyone else experienced this? I would think it is band related but I am not sure. What do you think?

My throat is not sore at all. It just feels like its going to close up sometimes. I know its wierd. I will call the dr tomorrow.

I eat it all the time with my little ones. I love it and have no problem.

I also get the shoulder pain. I have had it this time since last Friday. I hate it. It does seem to come and go though. I will go a couple months without it and them bam its there for a few days. The only thing that relieves it for me is to lay on my side. I can hear and feel the gas moving around inside and if I have time to lay long enough sometimes it will come out. Hope thats not to much info but it is true. I cant wait until it is gone this time. It has never lasted this long beore. VERY ANNOYING!!!! Oh and Gas meds dont work for me at all.

Hi Tammy. I am so sorry that you are feeling this way. I have also lost 100 pounds. But my feelings are different. I feel like I have now found the person that was hiding under all that weight. Some times I feel a little strange and dont know how to cope with little things. Like all the energy I have now. It really gets to me because I feel like I cant sit down and my brain cant keep up with my body. But i am working on that.I am also not used to people talking to me so much when I go places. I guess I never noticed people kind of avoided me until now. But I can really see how some people can feel lost. I would think if you just give yourself time to get used to the new you things will get better. Try and enjoy yourself and have fun. Anytime you need to talk you know where we are at.

I would also call your Dr. I know that yawning a lot is from a lack of oxogen. I was told that when I was pregnent. Everytime I would walk around I would yawn the whole time. I was 319 pounds so I was having a problem breathing. You should really get your self checked out. You are probably fine. But it is better to be safe then sorry. Keep us updated.

Ok I have a very embarrassing problem. I have lost 114 pounds and I have a lot of extra skin. Well lately whenever my hubby and I are having relations if you know what I mean I get air sounds from down below. Well this really bothers me and it ruins my time EVERY TIME. I get very embarrassed. Even though he acts like it does not bother him. It really bothers me. Now I am wondering if there is a surgery that can fix this or does anyone have any suggestions. I know this is very wierd. But I didnt know who else to ask. I figured with all the weight loss going on on this site someone was sure to have this problem. Thanks guys.

Oh and the noise sounds like air inside of me. I dont actually have a lot of skin hanging there. So I am not really sure why it is happening.

Oh my gosh you all crack me up. Thanks so much. I feel much better just knowing it is kind of normal. It never happened before I lost weight. I always knew I had a chunky monkey. But its not any more. I will try new positions and see if it helps. I tell you since I have lost weight I want to do "it" all the time. And this noise thing was really bothering me. I am going to just try and blow it off like its nothing. Thank all of you AGAIN.

I weigh every day. That way I can keep track because I never want to gain my weight back again. I have this happen all the time. Make sure you are wearing the same thing to weigh each time. Some clothes weigh more then others. I know if I have a lot of salty things the day before it really shows on the scale. It will probably be gone wothin the next couple of days. It is frustrating though. But it looks like you are doing good. Keep up the good work.

Well I went to the Dr this morning. I really liked him a lot. He took a lot of time to talk to me and answer all my questions. It was great until we got to the price. After all is said and done it will cost about $8,000. OH MY GOSH! They are having to remove a lot of excess skin and give me a lift so that is why it is more. I am going to work my but off to come up with the money. I hope to have it done in March on Spring Break. That way my son is out of school and it will be easier. He also said I should wait until my 3 year old is bigger to have mystomach done because the recovery is hard and I will have to take it easy for a long time. So I am putting off thinking about that for now.
