and good luck with everything. I dont mean that in a bad way either. Just be prepared, idk if it was just me put everyone said their pain was worst with the sleeve but mine is worst this time it hurts to breath and that may be cause of my complications before and what they found after.

I have Acid reflux, kidney infection, dehydration been in the hospital 2x for dehydration and kidney infection. Now that im out of surgery my pancreas was irritated. Dont have ll the details yet havent seen the doctor since i came out of recovery a few hours ago

I pray it gets better and i hope yours go smoothly i was 7m out from having the sleeve 12/2/17 bypass 07/28/17

  2. Hi. @Dknals2 best wishes two all of us. Ive watching and following positive people on YouTube who has gone through the process and they tell you to get a support group like this. I just joined today and reading the post has eased my nervousness a little. When you see others have the same fears and thoughts as well as you get a better understanding from someone who has first had experience. Because the doctor has performed it but its not the same as going through the journey.

  3. Mrs. Geary i asked that question to my surgeon in the beginning of my process. Because when i have a Lupus flare up or with my Asthma. Im giving steroids and i gain 100 pounds on the steroids the lowest dose. They told me i had a steroid sensitivity. And they try to avoid giving them to me when possible. But yes in the cold i often need it often. Their hoping with the weight loss i will not have a many health issues. However with having the surgery because Lupus isnt curable. My surgeon told me it is possible that i will gain weight back but i shouldn't get back to the size i am now. That's my concern.

  4. Im having my sleeve surgery done in 2wks. I have several underlying illnesses such as Lupus, copd, sleep apnea, diabetes and hypertension. I was wondering if anyone has any of these or all that has had surgery ? And how does these conditions hinder recovery or the weight loss. I am a little nervous i know I'll probably become more nervous as the time gets closer. I'm starting the diet next week with the Protein shakes and i wonder how it was the first week after surgery with knowing that you cant eat certain things anymore?
