    How are you coming along?

At first I was suffering with pain and nausea but now I'm better. I lost 25lbs after surgery but now it's stalling :(

  2. So much name calling and uninformed judgement...

    You know what?

Sometimes just up and leaving is the right thing to do...

    Sometimes it's the better option...

If stuff is done, it's done..

    Yep, it can hurt...

But so can dragging sh*t on for weeks/months/years..

The ONLY dodgy thing I saw (if I've understood the OP) is taking all the money from the account - that's kinda low...

But as for the rest - grieve the end of your relationship and move on...

    You'll be fine..

    Good luck to you...

**EDIT** - Upon re-reading the original post I saw that the husband took half the money in the account...

So I'm ok with the guy's actions...

I'm sure it wasn't a decision he made lightly...

Birds of a feather flock together.

Actually when you take a vow in a marriage AND have children you literally don't have the right to just leave with no explanation. Of course your ok with his actions your not the woman he left after having surgery. Your not the one sleeping Alone in the bed wondering wtf you did to deserve that.

  3. I also had surgery 12/12/16 :) I kinda feel like we're surgery sisters or something! My mother was up for the first week but I am now left to recover alone with my 9 year old daughter. I've noticed that staying busy (at least keeping my mind busy) seems to help me from feeling sorry for myself or missing food. Hope things are going well (and you're not experiencing as much odd spurts of tears or buyers remorse as I am)!

Wow very similar situation. I don't feel buyers remorse in spite of all the suffering I went through. Don't get me wrong there were moments I did doubt my choice especially when I kept vomiting. I have a almost nine year old daughter. My mother helped me for about three days then I was on my own. But it's nothing I'm not used to which is probably why I'm as independent as I am.

  5. Each year one my sister, my grandma and I have this small ritual where we go up to Brussels and walk around to visit the Christmas market and also buy the last Christmas gifts, and I have pictures from last year before the surgery and a picture of yesterday.

No disrespect but you were adorable then and a total hottie now! Lol so inspirational thanks for sharing

  6. Sorry this is not really totally weight loss related but I have no real other outlet for this. Tomorrow is my wedding anniversary, or rather what should be my anniversary. It is a day I should be celebrating with my husband. But that joy and celebration was stolen from me by the person who promised he would never leave. Five months ago on what I thought was a normal Friday I went to work and my husband was taking our two younger kids to spend the day with their older sister. Well after he acted like everything was perfectly normal he came home from dropping off the kids and packed up everything of his from the house, he took half of the little bit of money we had and I got a text that said I'm sorry this isn't working for me anymore, I'm moving out. We had not been fighting, things had been fine or so I thought.

I try really hard to keep a happy face on for the kids but I am still grieving the loss of my marriage so much. When I first had surgery he was very supportive but it seemed as I got smaller he became more and more withdrawn. Things really felt like they shifted when I became smaller then him. He is a husky guy but has never been obese though. Thankfully I have never been really an emotional eater so through all of this I have still continued to lose weight and keep up with my goals but it is so hard.

I guess I don't really have a major point to this thread. I'm not really looking for sympathy or anything, just needed somewhere to vent for a minute. I don't have any real outlet.

I'm sorry but your "husband " is a coward! Who does that?! I believe when someone leaves you because of physical reasons (lost weight/ gained weight) that person never really loved you.

But the good side of it is you have so much to look forward to! Sometimes it takes extreme measures for us to see the true colors of people. You will overcome this.

  7. I've never tasted cottage cheese, never wanted too really. But now I wanna try it ... maybe , lol. Can it be mixed with something

@Dknal mmmm what I would give to be able to eat an egg. I'm still only on liquids and Protein Shake. I want chicken! I did sneak some cotton cheese yesterday and felt so bad but it tastes so good. As painful as the stomach spasms are I appreciate them because they remind me to slow my roll.

I was never really into cottage cheese but when your on a restricted diet it's like your taste buds change. They do have flavored cottage cheese but I prefer the plain one. It has Protein so that's a bonus. Today my tummy was really hurting even yawning was painful.

I feel a little better but still in a lot of pain. I make sure to walk as much as I can. I threw up a few times from the nasty taste of repetitive pain killers. I'm home now.

  9. I was also 2.5kg heavier from my surgical weight. About 5pounds gain After discharge but they were pumping Fluid in me. Now I almost lost them all after more than 24hrs at home.

Pain isn't an issue now but I'm so tired and sleepy all the time and finding difficulty just getting enough Protein as my doctor recommend. Need to squeeze in more Protein.< /p>

  10. Me too SunsetSue, I was sleeved on 12/13. scale had me +4 pounds from the morning of surgery. I was just curious, I didn't let it bother me as I feel overinflated like the Goodyear blimp. I feel like a deflating balloon today ..all the GAS! (Hope that's not too much TMI)

Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I'm not too surprised but was a little shocked I mean I haven't barely passed a bowel movement due to strict liquid diet. I've never wanted to pass "gas" as bad as I do now. I'm still in pain when I get up I have to do it so slowly
