I had surgery there on 10/17/2011 and when I entered this very little office in a run down strip center, I almost ran. But I had to loose weight for my heart and so I went ahead with the DS surgery. I have had a hospital borne infection and I have been on antibiotics for over 40 days now. I had to cancel my cruise that I had paid for a year in advance with no refund, because my Doctor said if my fever got any higher I would have to go in intravenious antibiotics in the hospital. This place is so small only one restroom up and one restroom down. The 4 rooms they have are so small that the beds are only 1 foot apart. This is not a hospital it is a very small office building with not even a bath. Everyone has to share the restroom . Not sure what I was thinking when I did this but you are risking your life if you choose this place. Now the doctors seem to be ok, but the facility they have to use is very bad. There prices are great, but there is a reason. For a little more you can go to a real hospital and not have to take such a risk. Thanks jlweb55

If you are diabetic ask your endo or reg doc about victoza,I have lost 9 lbs in two weeks, and have wonderful control of my blood sugar. I have no appetite at all. I wish I had found this before I had gastric sleeve, which did not work or the lapband which did not work. But it was not approved until jan 2010. But I have it now and I think it is a miracle drug for weight loss. thanks judy

I just started on Victoza 2 weeks ago, It is a new once daily injectable, very easy no pain. I have no appetite and have lost 9 lbs in 13 day. It is supposed to be for type 1 an 2 diabetics , but the drug is so succesful for weight loss that doctors are putting their overweight patients that are not diabetic on it in smaller doses and it is working great for weight loss. I have had two weight loss surgerys, lapband and the sleeve. I did not have any success with either one. This is the first time in my life that I think I have found the answer. Do not wait. Get your doc to give you a sample. Oh by the way, it does make you tired with a little stomach upset at first , the best time to take it is right before bed. there is a doctor that does a bypass with the sleeve in washington I think it is the henkie or hankie bypass. It has his name.

I used Dr Huacuz, He did not get my pouch small enough, He will not do it again without full payment. I would not use him again for this reason. thanks jlweb55

Hi I had my sleeve done on aug 14th I lost a total of 31 lbs pre surgery and post diet. I never lost another lb after I started eating regular food 2 weeks post op. i have congestive heart failure and I must loose 60 more pounds , I would like to locate the lady that had her surgery in Kentucky with a doctor that does a mini gas bypass a little differently. please contact me at judylwebster@aol.com or here jlweb55:unsure:

I waited till I was 55 to have it done. Wish I had done it long ago, even though I am not having the weight loss I hoped for , I think it will come off eventually. thanks

I am eating everything, I had a 10 oz marie calenders pot pie for lunch and I was satisfied but not stuffed. Today is 6 weeks post op. I am not happy. I was told by another sleever to eat hard meat. If I do this then I can eat only 5-6 oz. But if I had wanted to eat only protien I could have lost weight with out the surgery. I am not happy. I probly should have had the mini byass. But I have lost 25 and I only have 60 left to loose, I think this is not enough for a bypass. Do not know what I am going to do. Thanks Judy

I am just wizing up about this , I had the sleeve done on 8/14/08 and as soon as I started eating two weeks after surgery I gained 6 lbs in 3 weeks. I have been told I have to go low carb. I have been on low carb most of my life and I hoped I would have a little leeway with the sleeve but not the case. I am like you I could have done atkins and lost it, I guess it is a little easier with the sleeve to do low carb. But it does not make me happy that I spent the money to have to stay low carb. thanks jlweb

I had the old molena band that was not adjustable and it never worked from the start. I did not want to go thru surgery again to adjust it. So 15 years later and a lot fatter I went for the sleeve. But I am not having a lot of luck with it so far. thanks jlweb55

I have not heard of anyone but I had vgs 4 weeks ago today and I have been eating regular food off liquids for 2 weeks and I have gained 5 lbs. I am very woried . Dr Huacuz said he could convert me to bypass or a band . I hope I do not have to have either. I just had the sleeve by DR Huacuz an it was 9500.00, and a great job and an easy surgery.

I don't know where you live, but there are band fill doc's all over the us now. Just google it and you will see. The cost I read is 250.00 for a fill.

Its an easy surgery I had it on aug 14.2008, I don't think you loose as quickly as you can with the band but most people I talked to were very satisfied. I lost 29lbs from pre diet to one week ago, but since I have been eating solid food now I have gained 2 lbs. Everybody says its just a plateau and it happens at this time but I am a little worried. good luck

Hi I got the sleeve on 8/14/08 and like you I am very worried about the amount of food I can eat. I lost 29 lbs post op 7 and after 21. I started eating soft food at 2 weeks and now I am at 3 weeks I am eating everything I want. I have gained two lbs back and I am hungry. Most people I talked to said they had no hunger, but i do if its been a while since I ate last , Like this morning I went to the DR and I had a atkins shake at 8am but did not get to eat again until 1pm and i was very hungry.
