I have 2 kids my son is 12 and my daughter is 6... I want to change and set better examples for them, I don't want them to be like me. Not that I'm bad but being over weight is a struggle. My son knows what I'm doing he was a little concerned and he loves me this way he feels like he's gonna have a new mom. Of course that made me cry but we had a long talk and he gets it now. No don't think like that... I'm right here with you my date is 2/08 as well and I'm currently doing the pre op diet. I'm sitting at my desk and I sit pretty close to the kitchen all I smelled all day long was delicious food. I had to fight the urge to go downstairs and grab something to eat. But I know more than anything I want/need to lose weight! I refuse to let this year go by and say what I should have done! By this time next year you will be a Better you! Let's do this together okay!!!

It's hard that's for sure... I'm sitting here now ready to drop but I know it will get better in time. Hopefully after surgery I won't have a desire to eat my body should be used to it plus any other time I've been in the hospital I had no appetite, well while I was in pain. But if you cheated just try to do better the next day, I hope it all works out for you!

Exactly I joined this group the beginning of November, I haven't had surgery yet either. So I come here for guidance and support because who really wants to sit and hear me talk about vsg everyday? That and I didn't tell many ppl anyway.
