I had a wonderful time last night starting with church, then club hoping with friend, tried to eat & drink to fit in & im constantly hungry, only resulting in throwing up & my homegirl slightly mad at me cuz i KNOW BETTER!! 1st of all i want to wish each and every last one of my BariatricPal bro's & sis's a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! I had my surgery in Tijuana Mexico 12/15/16, ive had absolutely no complications! I threw up last night Christmas Eve because the broth That my mother-in-law gave me off her chicken for todays dinner was too greesy bot ooooohhhh soooo delicious , it came up out my mouth &nose! HONESTLY my weight loss has been slower than ive been reading on other patients post but oh well any loss is better than any gain! I picked up 7lbs in the hospital from swelling & IV Fluids, lost that plus bout 5 or 6 more, so its slow motion but im dealing with it, im also learning better techniques & patterns to dealing with my extame hunger & head hungry Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Well its my Surgery Eve and im sittng in my hotel room in San Diego wondering why i cant find much about my surgeon on Bariatric Pal. His name is Luis Cervantes my procedure is @ Hospital Guadalajara in Tijuana Mexico tomorro 12/15 @ 1pm , after blood work, ekg, etc, All of his review are on his website, which I'm not 100% confident with because I am a website owner and reviews can be manipulated! Im doing this all alone, no support team, except back home in Dallas tx where they all disagreed with me going to Mexico to do this procedure. I was sucessful with stopping smokiing 2 weeks before surgery but have not been sucessfull with the 2wk liquid diet, i thought the latter would have been easier, but not! I never gave up i did the liquid diet best i could on the road because my profession requires much travel in which the gain balloned... none the less ive read many success stories about patients goin to mexico and a few horror stories. But I'm mainly wanting more info on the doctor Luis Cervantes of Guadalajara Tijuana Mexico I booked him through a site called Mexico Bariatrics, In which I went through a patient coordinator. I also want to know what are the risks besides Fatty liver if you don't strictly follow the liquid diet?​ I am a self pay patient so I guess aint no turning back now, thank you!

I am 4 days post opp, surgery date 12/15/16, im 90% back to normal, i.e doing everything except driving, i dont plan on doing that for another week or so, i have also learned what size sipt to take and have developed a method of patting my chest, (similar to patting a babys back during feeding) when i feel pain w/ my liquids ; However, im extremely hungry & my cravings are through the roof, to the point that its making me argumentative with my loved ones! Im trying hard to stick with the liquid diet because my dr. Is in Tijuana Mexico & my life & success depends on lettin my body heal and follow the week by week meal plan! Im getting depressed, wondering why im reading post that the sleeve "supposedly " remove the part of the stomache that causes hunger.... but i feel like im dying im just going into day 5 & i have all the broths popcicle & Protein shakes & Water & juice, books to read, work to catch up on aroun the house, but all i see on tv is food commercials i never noticed before, on top of it all , the 8 lbs i lost on the pre opp diet was regained @ the hospital w/ 2 days of IV fluids & natural water retention from trauma of surgery, i know im rambling now, i just needed to vent.... im just wondering y all the successfull sleevers dont report the good bad and ugly, i never thought it was like this, i thought it was a quick fix for a few thousands... bye guys & i love each & every one of you- GN This is my pic 23 hrs post opp Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I hd a meeting w/ my mortgage broker, today & its in a real ritzy high rise in Plano Tx, a upscale suburb of Dallas tx, &. I wanted to look nice & im elated w/ my 10-12 lbs WL I've always worn 6" heels, bcuz of my profession, even @ 290 lbs( my heaviest) but i new gravity & my new stomach wouldnt agree w/ that @ 13 days post opp, so i wore a cute outfit & my 2" wedges... well after the meeting i went by Walmart & picked up a few things, then had to take my neighbor to run an errand & by time i made it home my stomach had swollen enough for my family members to notic & i was feeling horrible, not in excruciating pain but a dull pain in the bottom of my stomach abouve the groin area... DO ANYONE THINK I MESSED SOMETHING UP? Well i took my pain meds & n bed now watching 600lb life w/ feet elevated!!! No my incisions r all bout healed on the outside, so im realizing tht i did over exert, however im thinking tht they didnt to anything to the lower portion of my body so why would it feel like tht? I knw your not a doc, im mainly looking for comon sense answer & thnk you!!! & when is. Your date?

I m 12 days out & i did the liquid diet w/ 85% success, but i skipped the puree & combined step 1 & 3 no im on liquid & softfood ( appx. 3-4 well chewed up bites) i was too hungty i couldnt do 2 weeks puree, im guilty as charged Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
