  1. Brina, keep the faith. Things will change sometime.

Just an update on my accident. I am not healing as fast as I had hoped for. I went to work wed. night and had to come home because of a pulled muscle in my side. Other than that, my other bumps and bruises are healing nicely. I just got me a new truck today and I hope I get to keep it until I pay it off.

  2. Jonathan got me thinking about exercise and I wanted to see what everyone else did each week and how often they worked out and for how long...

So what is your exercise routine? How often do you work out each week and for how long? Do you find that after a few weeks of doing the same thing you have to change it up to see the scales keep moving?

I usually walk or ride my stationary bike. I try to do at least an hour a day.

  3. Greetings my fellow bandsters,

Just a quick note on an update. This weekend I had a meeting to attend out of town and so I didn't get much exercise. To make matters worse, I was involved in an auto accident while going to work so I wont be able to exercise for a couple more days. I wiill have a fill wednesday. I hope I will not have gained too much weight from not exercising.

  4. Mia, I'm sorry you are having a rough time of it. It definitely sounds like you need an unfill. I'm not experienced by any means, but it sounds what Elizabeth told me was the zone you don't want to be in. Go see them...it isn't worth being miserable!

Another question - I look at some people who have lost 50-60 lbs. or even 100 lbs in a short period of time and I'm wondering how you loose at that level and still get fills? I consider my weight loss to be at a snails pace, but according to Elizabeth, if I loose at least 4 more pounts by 5/20, then I don't get a fill. So how do you loose but still get filled? I'm confused!

I've only had one fill. I exercise my tush off.

  5. You know now that I think of it- every time I have ever been there are only one maybe TWO other people in the waiting room. Lets see, Dr. bagnato has done 500 surgeries give or take and I know they take them from the other Dr as well so i'm sure they have a ton of patients but how can they lay all that on one fill nurse's shoulders. Now I know ppl dont get fills forever and all but still- even that considered that's alot of cases. You'd think with the money they take in they could afford to hire another person. My next fill is scheduled april 22 and I kept it because I got squeezed in this past thursday. It was just sheer luck the day I called someone had canceled. The clinic is not open for fills on Fridays at all- Wonder why not?

Because of the possibility of making the band too tight, the center doesn't do fills on friday. If you get something done on a thursday, fridays are there if it is too tight.

  6. Thanks for the heads up Jonathan! I need one really bad and my appointment isn't until the 24th. It will work out perfectly because my hubby is off that day and he can watch my son while I go. What time will you call to cancel? The cancelled appointments go like hot cakes! If you're calling at a certain time, I will make sure I call at the same time. Thanks again!

    I'll try around 8:30 or 9:00
