Theses are the types of things I need to hear & don't want to experience. I hope you have found resolve.
The resolve will be the rny. My original surgeon should have never recommended the sleeve with my acid reflux. It only made it worse. It is the base of all the problems

Yea. It's been a tough road. But I am scheduled for surgery April 20th. Hopefully the rny will be the fix. How is your wife?

Syntax nectar. It's good but made my reflux flair. I could only finish six ounces before it started coming back up[emoji30][emoji30][emoji30]
I can't wait for my bypass to fix this rediculousness

vanilla bean torte was good. I am having Cappuccino this morning and it is amazing. I mix with unsweetened coconut milk

I just found out about 2 hours ago and I've gone from excited to scared to anxious in that short amount of time. LOL! It does not seem real yet. I am planning to get organized this week. I have to make a shopping list, get things in order at work and home with my kids. I'm hoping the distraction will help with my nerves. Can I ask why you are going from the Sleeve to bypass? I considered both but my dr thought the Sleeve was good for me.
I got my sleeve in 2013. Since then I have had constant nausea, vomiting, and reflux which has only gotten worse. I now have esophageal dismotility as well which they are associating with the reflux. I did not have reflux before the sleeve. Bypass should eliminate the reflux and hopefully allow my esophagus to heal

Not a sleeve. I am getting revised from a sleeve to a bypass on the 20th! Good luck!! I am crazy nervous, how are you holding up?

I'm 4/20 as well!
I am guessing we are the same age too! This will be revision for me, what are you getting?

I have about 40 I need to lose. I gained a bit between all my complications and breaking my foot over the summer. I am more excited for the damn heartburn to stop. I keep reading all the stories where heartburn is completely gone right after surgery! I can't wait

Yes start a group! I am being revised from sleeve to bypass on 4/20. Revision is due to vomiting, gerd, and esophageal dismotility

I am getting revised from the sleeve 4/20. Severe gerd and esophageal dismotility. I have been wondering the same thing. Did your doctor give you any idea on weight loss? I know it will be slower, I kinda just want to loose the bit I have put on because of the limitation on what I can eat.

I have anthem BCBS. I was just approved for a revision to gastric bypass due to gerd and esophageal dismotility

It'll be quicker than you think! It only took my insurance 5 days to respond for my revision surgery. When is your anticipated surgery date?

I have had constant pain since my sleeve. About a year after I had the sleeve they removed my gallbladder to solve the pain and nausea vomiting. It never stopped. I have gone thru meds, er visits, and "possible gastroparesis". Nothing has solved it. I gave up on my original surgeon and found a new one. First meeting he is telling me that it's possible nerve damage or a tightened point in the stomach. More likely nerve damage. He says there are 2 possible fixes: switch to bypass or a pyloric valve repair? Anyone done either?
I am headed for some new X-rays and back to see him in December. But one more question, if it does need surgery to repair, anyone have luck getting the surgery pushed up? I met my insurance deductible for this year and it would be great to get this repair in this year if possible. Do doctors even care about things like that?
Thanks!

I am having revision surgery on 4/20. I currently was very successful with vsg. I unfortunately had a ton of issues with reflux, gastroparesis, and esophageal dismotility which is why revision to rny. All approved with insurance and ready to go. I have pre op this Wednesday. I just have this terrible feeling something will go wrong. I have been stuck with all these issues and now I am getting it fixed. I guess I just can't believe it? I have also read all the rny horror stories I can find..
Anyone else freaking out? Anyone want a freak out buddy?
