  1. Kitty, I'm not sure if he does or not but you should give Dr. Jayaseelan a try. He's been great and his staff is too. www.texaslapbandcenter.com is his website.

Kitty, this is not a chat forum. You must post what you want to say and then it sits there until we see it. Which might be a few minutes or a few days.
  3. I took MsJoy to Dr Jayaseelan's office in Dallas yesterday, Feb 2, and she received a 6cc fill in her Vanguard band (11cc total, I'm told). They tried it lying down but the needle was too short and they were out of the loooong needles so they had her stand up. More numbing, then the first part of the fill (3cc). That was when she :faint: . She's very needle phobic. So we layed her back down, since the needle was still stuck in there and the PA gave her another 3cc. When she was feeling a bit better they had her drink a few sips of Water to make sure that it would go down. Told her to do liquids for a week and come back in 6 weeks. We stuck around and attended the support group meeting that evening at 7. The speaker was NOT prepared. What he should have done was sit down and let the oldsters speak. The four ladies right in front of us were all banded the same day, two years ago. They were a hoot. Joy is now down 16 lbs and ready for some serious weight loss. Wish her luck!
  4. I quit smoking three and a half years ago. That's how I financed the Harley. And I'm wondering if Jess' B&A pics will be nakies. What better way to judge the proficiency of the plastic surgeon?
  5. I'm reminded of the movie where the whole town agreed to go smokeless for some length of time. If they made it they got some great, fantastic prize. Dick Van Dyke was one of the actors in the movie. He and his DW (in the movie) solution to the problem was more quickies than you could shake a stick at....LOL I remember that after the first time, she is making up the bed, just smiiiiiiiiiiiiling. After the second time, she is just sitting on the edge of the bed. After the third time, in the same day, she doesn't even bother to get OUT of the bed. LMAO :faint: Have fun, Michelle.
  6. There ya go....maybe it IS a ten CC band. Then 3.8 wouldn't even begin to make a dent in restriction. Dr J, here in Dallas, does with 5 or 6 CCs on the first fill of a VG band.
  7. Diane, check out the "Banded Bikers" thread in Lap Band Talk Lounge. There are quite a few biker babes in here....LOL
  8. Seeing as how it mentions GrandDad I was expecting a can of beer or the baby painting GrandDad's face as he slept. But that was VERY cute.
  9. Good choice, Luci. Where are you from?
  10. OK, I'm just going to throw this out there and see what all the "experts" have to say about it. My DW was approved by BCBS of Texas, via her surgeon's office. When he sent in HIS bill, it was for $12,000. The Medical Center sent in their bill for $30,000. BCBS posted the explanation of benefits on their website and they are going to pay a grand total of......wait for it......for BOTH bills......$1,638.....? Excuse me, but, what the F*#@?????? Who are they trying to fool? According to the approval letter, with a ZERO deductible and only $1,000 out of pocket limit. What should I do? Wait and see if the medical center and the doctor resubmit? Get a lawyer? Call them myself? Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeez! :angry At least they can't come and reposses her band. All they can do is ruin my credit. And all I can tell them is "You can't get blood from a turnip, hon"
  11. Diane, down at the bottom where it says, Quick Reply, click on GO ADVANCED. They are there.

The support group meeting is at 7:00 pm on the 2nd, I believe.
  13. Heck yeah! Did he show you his scar where he burned his a$$ ? LOL
  14. :lalala: There! Now I feel sooooooo much better.
  15. Peggy, at the top left, click User CP. On the left side click Edit Profile. You should be able to fix it in there.

Yep, we're scheduled to go to the support group meeting this Thursday, the 2nd. Joy will be getting her first fill that afternoon and we're going to stick around and check it all out.
  17. gapeach, our daughter lives in Kennesaw. My wife is planning a trip out there in July to celebrate and go clothes shopping with the daughter. I'm going to sneak the credit card out of her purse. LOL Welcome to LBT and congratulations on your weight loss, that's fantastic!
  18. I was actually thinking that she could save the money and use it on a comfy little get away place for the evening, but I'm just thinking like a man, right???
  19. Morsaille, Joy's first meal after her doctor cleared her for mushies was mashed potatoes at Chili's. She's been doing cream soups, sugar free puddings, scrambled eggs, malt o meal, oatmeal. As for the sodium and the water weight gain, just keep drinking the water. I know it sounds kinda strange, but you need the water to flush your system.
  20. GO BETTY! YOU CAN DO IT!! http://www.smileycentral.com/sig.jsp?pc=ZSzeb062&pp=ZSYYYYYYBYUS
  21. (hiding eyes) Next thing you know, she'll be showing us her tats... :girl_hug: :girl_hug:
  22. Well, from what I've read it might be a good idea to go on liquids for a couple of days after the fill to give your tummy a chance to adjust. Sorry. And BTW, welcome to LBT and Bandlandia.
  23. Well, not really a section...more like a thread. It's in the Lap Band Talk Lounge. There are some good pictures and lots of DeLarla bragging about her new bike....LOL Welcome to the forum, Dawn.
  24. Krause, a PB is a productive burp. I've heard it described many ways but prefer to think of it as something akin to a baby spitting up....
