Charlee, especially withthe smaller band, you have to have several very small fills to hit that "sweet spot". Just the right restriction without cutting everything off, you know? Just think of the Lapband Fairy as being this really old, really slow woman.....LOL

Deb and Donna, welcome to LBT! I'm the DH (darling husband) to MsJoy (the banded one). I know from reading in here that yes, you can have alcohol, but most of the doctors restrict its use during the healing period. I'm sure you don't need to be told what it feels like throwing a little alcohol on an open wound. Then after they have healed some of the members here have a glass of wine or two, some beer...whatever you can stand, I guess.

Jacqui, it gets even better when the kids are grown. I can walk in and get a cup in a sleeping attire and then sit at the puter and just enjoy the mornings.

MsJoy had a full week of liquids after her fill. She has the Vanguard band and got 6cc. Oh, and she says to tell you not to eat at least 4 hours BEFORE you are suppose to get your fill.

And then you'll get a fill and get to go back on the liquids....LOL Well, some do and some don't. Just take it easy and heal right now.

Welcome Sandy and congratulations on getting banded. I know it is a bit frustrating but that's what is good about the band. Slow and steady wins the race. How are you doing with your diet? Eating the RIGHT things? Getting plenty of protein? Exercising? Just keep at it and it will come.
