  1. hold the phone --

In post #23, I referred to Alex's saying he'd read nauseating private messages between members who he says were plotting against other members. Is it my imagination or is the post in which he acknowledged reading PMs now gone, deleted?

It is post #10 and creepy!!

It is quoted in post 20 if you want a screen shot. If I were Alex's attorney I would advised him to remove it and deny he ever posted it.

  2. I think I've been going about this all wrong. BariatricPal is only helpful if you're a dumbass, apparently. I have been wasting my time trying to help and be helped. It really doesn't matter one damn bit if you're trying to do this right, get some support and learn a thing or two. The only people who stand to gain anything here are idiots who want to be enabled. So, since I can't remove myself gracefully, (can't delete your own profile) I believe I will go out with a bang and self-destruct. Yes, it's petty and childish, but I am old and tired and having hot flashes so I don't much care about what strangers on the internet think of me anymore.

The people who know what they should be doing don't have time to hang out here and tell the crybabies how hard this is and it's okay if they just need a cheeseburger to make it all okay. The people who want to help others succeed get banned when they finally get fed up and snap. If all goes as planned, I will be the next one to get banned, because frankly am tired of dancing around the BULLSHIT on this website.

If you have the patience to stay here and play the game, good on ya. I'm outta here. Somebody help me out and report this post. Thanks!

I plan on posting in till Alex delete my account.

  3. The snowflakes have taken over BP so beware of any advice you get from now on as the educated people who care about your safety and well being are being banned or leaving of their own accord and the "don't worry, I ate pork chops two days post op and I am fine" nutters are now in charge.

Many of us are joining Obesity Help and have asked Alex to delete out Bp accounts and he has refused ( higher membership= higher revenue)

I intend to stay and post until Alex delete my account or explains how I can delete it.

If you have been feeling "unsafe here due to the childish rants and threats made by snowflake in response to "controversial" comments, for example saying that "people who have had good preoperative education lose more weight and keep it off better than those who did not get it" .(..yep, I got redeemed for that one! ) come to Obesity Help.

  4. I am also in agreement with Alex. Although I am quite green on this site, I have experienced some of the issues he mentioned. I wasn't sure if it was just me or a site-wide problem.

I, for one, am quite disappointed that many veterans, and therefore their experiences/knowledge, are leaving the site.

On the other hand, I didn't care for the way some veterans responded to myself and to others. Perhaps that was never their intention, but posts on a message board are usually taken quite literally and as such, one's tone should be considered.

Hopefully, things around here can head more toward the positive. If one finds themselves getting upset or irritated by the posts of the more uninformed members, perhaps take a few days off, or choose not to engage such people.

I see "likes" for the pro banning folks that are also on my BLOCKED (precious snowflakes) list. Remember those names and DO NOT take advice from them and remember that Alex can read your "private" messages you should be fine.

  5. $o the whining snowflake$ whined to their $urgeons... it'$ clear that YOU did not review their post$ before you made your decision. I would bet money that at lea$t a few of the complainer$ are on my BLOCKED list.

Bariatric Pal is no longer a SAFE PLACE for me. I have been stalked by this gang of thin skinned snowflakes (you can check my list of BLOCKED members) who regularly pick fights and generally behave like deranged 7th graders. I do wonder how all those surgeons and psychologist and nutritionist (from your Mexican WLS center?) will react when someone keeps right on eating corn on the cob and ribs 3 days post op because some idiot on this site told them "don't worry, we all make mistakes" and there is no one here to speak up and call bullshit.

It makes sense that you will not delete our accounts, after all you don't want your membership numbers to drop. I will delete my own account. But I am serious that YOU need to stop sharing my email address with your cronies.

  6. A "safe place" for reckless idiots who consistently give each other bad advice....brilliant concept.

But if you where halfway honest with your self you would admit the obvious, the intention of this group is to funnel new customers into business run buy you and your friends.

Please remove me from this site and from all your lists as I am sick of the spam email that started right when I joined BP.

  7. I have a couple of republicans and at least one Trump supporter friend on face book. I get links to the stuff they post so I think i stay better informed. For example I read on a right of center feed that 1/3 of conservatives didn't know that the Affordable Care Act (they are for it) and "Obama care" (they are against it) are the same thing. Seriously.

  8. After three months post op, I really did feel like I saw instant, dramatic and spectacular results.

The first two weeks were uncomfortable and dragged a little because I wasn't at work. But looking back five months, its gone by superfast and I'm 4 pounds from goal. :) Amazing.

I hit 40 pounds lost yesterday and lost another 3 1/2 pounds today. Not "instant" but closer to instant that I ever thought possible!

  9. I feel for you. I never give advice unless I am sure it's correct and will hold up to fact checking but there are people who are compelled to argue with me and often even insult me. Since their social development ended in 7th grade, they tend to post in groups. One chimes in and the rest "like" the post and offer their own post.

You did good. Be proud of it. Don't ever let other people's selfishness, insecurity or drama get to you.

  10. @@LipstickLady calls out another defensive noob and gets banned. Gotta love it.

After almost 4 years on this forum, this is how she's treated. A ban with no warning or note from @@Alex Brecher or anything.

This forum has been going downhill for a while now since it became about the all mighty dollar for Alex. Such a shame.

I have noticed that a group of (_____ ______) have banded together and turned into a giant drama blizzard. They are know to be stalkers and they often jump all over anyone who offends their delicate constitution. I have a serious drama queen aversion so I block them for my own wellbeing but I do see their names in as "likes" just about every time certain members dare to post OBVIOUS TRUTHS. Followed by lost of ignorance, accusations and name calling in response to what anyone with an ounce of snse would see as GOOD ADVICE.

    Wish I could block

  11. maybe you are stretching it. you said you feel the need to eat until stuffed. well, that could potentially be a problem. also i think you should avoid carbs more. less than 50g should be your goal! i think you should start by making sure you're tracking EVERYTHING. you say you are- but like realllly track EVERYTHING. and then make sure youre hitting your Protein goal and under your carb goals for the day. losing 2lb in 3 months... yeah somethings really off & makes no sense. that's also messed up about your dietician and surgeon lacking support/communication with you. smh :/

Your advice is excellent but you can't stretch a gastric sleeve.

  12. I admit to be somewhat "forthright" with my opinions and even to being outright aggressive when I comment on bad or dangerous advice. My co workers say I have an extreme bullsh*t allergy.

Over my short time here I am getting a feel for the difference between a person who want validation for their behavior and one that is fielding opinions and ideas. I now pass on threads that I might have posted on just a month ago.

I have also noticed that the snowflakes tend to stick together, often creating a giant blizzard of drama. But I learned not to call a precious snowflake a snowflake. No matter what, not ever. And more important, to avoid a flair of my BS allergy, learned how to use the block feature.

  13. Because STATICALLY a person my weight and age would lose 80 pounds over an 18 month period my Dr really encouraged me to have a VSG or DS because due to years of (mostly "successful" yoyo dieting my body had learned to hold on too every ounce of fat.

In the end, I decided I would NOT be a statistic and had the gastric sleeve, lots of reasons but mainly because it wouldn't alter my anatomy as extremely.

The other reason was that despite what you might read on the internet, the sleeve doesn't stretch. As you have already learned you can eat around it and if you do you will gain weight.

You are extremely overweight, I can see why a Dr would encourage another surgery because you really need to loose weight now. But what happens in 6 months? In a year? People regain their weight after DS surgery too. On the other hand you already have a functioning weight loss tool that you can start using immediately if you are motivated to lose weight and save your life.

If it were me I would go back to square one with the sleeve you already have instead of having another major surgery. And, at the same time, get some treatment for your underlying eating disorder.

  14. How I figured it out was by (too) often having one bite to many.

I run out of stomach and that last bite sits in my lower esophagus for a while. Doesn't feel good, sometimes I get reflux with what would have been a normal burp.

At that point I was weighing my food. My solution was to cut back a few grams and it usually worked. I'm 11 week post surgery and at this point my body has learned to respond to feeling, not exactly pre surgery "full", just that I should done eating.
