Stay away! I know it's hard but it's worth it. I was a coke junkie too but it has no place in my new life. Even diet coke has been linked to weight gain by causing cravings. Now no one wants that mess! Good luck girlfriend!

I have struggled with weight loss and gain more times then I can count. I have hated myself every time I gained it all plus more back. I have felt like a failure. I have watched my siblings develop type 2 diabetes and my head was constantly filled with shame about my size. My high weight was 235, preop diet I was 227, surgery day I was 217. My surgery was Nov 18, 2016. I didn't share my plan with anyone but my husband and you awesome strangers. Why? Because I didn't want to hear all that negative. That nurse has no idea what she is talking about. Don't listen, keep your head up, and we will see you on the losers side soon! ❤

It's all those fluids they pumped you full of. Keep drinking and flush those out and the scale will move...in the right direction. I promise!! I was so puffy that first week!

I love your attitude, you will be better without him. It sounds like he never deserved you in the first place. Praying for continued strength for you.

Only told my husband (and you awesome strangers) and he is sworn to secrecy not because I'm ashamed but because my personal medical decisions are no one else's business and I have never explained any of my decisions to anyone anyway. I'm a totally private person though.

I recommend going through BariatricPal Team MX and using Dr. Illan at the Oasis of Hope Hospital. My surgery coordinator was Bill Yanez. I had my sleeve on November 18, 2016 and I cannot say enough good things about this wonderful group of people. They are just a very special group. Best decision I have ever made!

My boobs are always the last to go...now my butt...that's another story.

If ONLY!! We didn't go thru BARIATRICPAL. :( :( We didn't even receive discharge papers. He was released we crossed the border, went to our Motel. No, contact with anyone from the group we went thru. Not a good experience at all. The sad thing was my hubby had started checking out BARIATRICPAL but thought that the other place would be better because it cost us more!! You know the old saying "You get what you pay for" not true in our situation. Happy that everything went so well for you!! Congratulations on becoming a LOSER!! LOL Isn't this funny, it is the only time in my life that I didn't mind being called a LOSER!! LOL

I can lose weight, I just can't maintain. Is VSG a smart choice?

Your story is very much the same as mine. I have lost and gained and lost and gained so many times. I used weight loss drugs, I took up running, I did it all. I can get healthy but I can't stay healthy. I have never been able to maintain it. I am a binge eater and it used to hit me out of nowhere. With my third child I got to my highest weight and decided it was enough. I had my sleeve done not to long ago and it has changed my life! It is a tool but it is a tool that stays with you for life and I just know it's going to work for me this time. I know I have to change my relationship with food and I am working on that daily so I am ready. I haven't weighed yet because I am only weighing once a month and the scale is another obsession of mine that I won't be controlled by ever again. I track my food and rely on NSV'S and I have had lots of them! Wishing you much good luck on your journey whatever you decide!
