  1. My weight loss has now eclipsed my current weight.  I have lost 199 pounds and weigh 198 pounds.  One more pound until I have lost an even 200 pounds, and only 18 pounds until goal!

  2. Hello everyone....  What a ruff week it has been.  What started with a bug... Ended Thursday with my BEST friend leaving me.  Tina (my band)... is gone.  After 8 years 4 months and 13 days....  It was a great journey for sure.

The slip was pretty bad.... i was less than 24 hours from a perforated stomach.  But i feel much better.  The pain i was in was the most unbearable pain i have ever felt..... and everyone who knows me here, know how much of a high tolerance i have for pain.

So, it's up to me now.... i must continue on my journey with only the knowledge i have gained over the years and pray that i can do it alone.

But, even though i don't have my band anymore... i will still come here, because you all are my friends and i treasure your support.

    xoxo

    Chris

Oh no! Well, think of it like this: You've lost the training wheels and now you're road-ready!

  3. Today marks six months post-op for me.  I have lost 85% of my excess body weight.  What a journey!!

  4. I'm three weeks out, and I've hit my first stall. I didn't think it would happen so quickly, but I just saw someone referring to it as "the three-week stall", so I guess I'm on target.

Thanks for the insight! Always helpful to know others have gone down the same road before me.

  5. 2.5 weeks out and I'm really coming to appreciate just how much activity revolves around eating/drinking. Whether it's dining out or just looking for a weekend activity.  Only being able to eat a couple ounces and avoiding alcohol kills most of the fun venues for meeting up with friends.

lol. I was told to avoid alcohol for six(?) months.  Haven't really missed it in itself, just the sociability of it.  Sadly, we'd just stocked up on "champagne" (well, technically it's not).

  6. Heading back out on the road for work. First work trips since the surgery in September. I have to admit, I am looking forward to people's reactions when they see me! :-)

Don't be surprised if some people literally don't recognize you. That was my experience years ago after having lost a lot. At first I thought I was being snubbed. Turns out they didn't know who I was. Basically: more attention, less recognition.

  7. I am now officially down over 160 pounds since March 21, 2016. Exciting! My mid-220s goal for Mardi Gras Day (February 28) now seems very do-able! Onward!

Congratz! Keep it up! .. or down, rather.
