  1. I am newer to this support group, looking to get banded hopefully by end of summer. I meet with the MD April 22, and hoping I will know more about when after that appointment. Already saw the shrink, those tests were nuts, and if you weren't nuts before then, you might just be after LOL. Just wondering if anyone from this group is from Wisconsin. Thank you

  2. This was alos a concern of mine, I am a RN and hoped that taking a week off of work would be enough time. I can be on a lifting restriction at work till I am all healed up, but the majority of my work is not lifting. I guess everyone is different and their recovery time different. Just wanted to hear some other people experiences

    Thank you:rolleyes2:

  3. Welcome Dan,

I too am in that stage of all the pre-op appointments and waiting to actualy see the surgeon. I have an appointment on April 22 with the dietician and the surgeon. I am hoping to get "banded" before the end of summer, but I am unaware to waht my insurance will require for me to get this done. Good Luck to you and this is a wonderful support group here

  4. Congrads on the insurance approval

I am still going through the process prior to the approval. I don't believe that I will have a problem though. It seems I have been running to the docotors appointments all month long, but I know it will be worth it in the long run. Cannot wait to start with this new path of my life, a thinner one :thumbup:hopefully

  5. Welcome, I too am new to this support group, not sure when I will get my band, I saw the shrink last week and will see the dietitician and the MD on 4-22-08. Have to first go through all the steps for the insurance approval, hoping to be "banded" by the end of the summer. Taking this time to take in all the information that I can. This is a great support group and I have learned so much since I started reading the information on here. Everyone is so kind and helpful. And I have learned no question is a stupid one. Good Luck to you and your wife. I recently had a friend that got "banded" 5-6 weeks ago, so far she is doing great and she gives me plenty of pointers of what she does and what works bet for her. :huh2:

  6. I too am a nurse, and also work 12 hour nights. I am scheduled to meet with the surgeon this month. My girlfriend just got banded about 3-4weeks ago, so she has been giving me tips. Been thinking about this for over a year. And finally came to the conclusion. I am going to go for it. Wish me luck
