Hi everyone !I know there are some typical times when stalls happen after surgery.
I had one at about 4 weeks and it lasted a few weeks!
Now I am just coming up on 4 months and I have been fluctuating between the same 4lbs for at least 2-3 weeks.
Is this another normal time?
I'm so afraid I just STOPPED losing now !
Any info/ advice is welcome.
Oh and my hair is falling out like crazy!!
Anyone have special shampoos that seems to help ?
Thanks !!
I
I am at 4 months also. And going through the same stall..... [emoji17] keep up the fight our bodies are just recovering. This is a tough process but the journey is far from over.

Hi everyone! I need a little support today and thought if I shared my journey it would help.I had RNY in June 2015 at 248 and am currently 197. I got as low as 175 in March 2016 but then I had an internal hernia in April (a complication of gastric bypass that affects 5-10% of patients) and then put my rescue dog to sleep in May, which devastated me. I also took a vacation two months out, and had a hysterectomy in November 2015. So it's been a wild ride. I had all kinds of ideas about how I was going to live my life post surgery, and of course I was going to do everything right/perfectly. Ha! But I was 185 at my one year appointment, and my surgeon was pleased. I said I wanted to lose another 10 lbs and he said he didn't think I needed to but go ahead. (No doctor EVER said anything like that to me!)
I'm back on track and doing better, but as I'm reading all these posts and comments I'm motivated to do more.

Through all that it sounds like you have still come out on top!!. Don't be so hard on yourself, you have the tools and the training you got this!!!!.
I had surgery 2/20/2017 hw282, SW 261, currently no clue lol. Just now feeling alive enough to put on a bra.

I found one that meets once a month. First Thursday of the month so I'm going to check it out this coming week.

Could this get in the way of my surgery tomorrow? And does any one know if I can take magnesium citrate to clean out my bowel today the day before surgery?

Someone told me to use Flintstone chewables but I'm not sure if that's got all I need in it? Plus I don't know that would taste any better to me either. I've been thinking of checking out the vitamin patches too.

Flintstones complete are great but you need one in the am and one in the pm

Will do!,

I appreciate the input. How long after surgery do you think it would be safe?
-
Surgery is scheduled for the 20th and I will need to travel about 4000 miles round trip very soon after. I will not have to drive but I will be in the car. I know it sounds impossible saying it but I do not want to put it off. I normally recover quickly, returning to work a couple days after a hysterectomy and three days after heart attack. If I pack well and focus on intake can this be done?

Different Doctors definitely have different requirements. 2/14 I have 5 appointments for testing and then day before surgery is liquids but that's it. I used Bree DeWing out of Bismarck Nd. My surgery is 2/20
I'm also Feb. 20. I will be starting my liquid diet on Monday.Feb 20 is my date!!
