  1. I WAS SLEEVED NOV 9TH AND FEEL BLAH...I HAVE REACHED MY STALL  I AM GOING TO INCORPORATE EXERCISE NEXT WEEK SINCE I WAS RELEASED FROM DOCTOR TO MOVE FORWARD.. I KNOW I NEED MORE Protein BUT AT TIMES AFTER I EAT MY Protein (shakes ARE LITTLE TO BE DESIRED) I FEEL I AM NOT HUNGRY. I THINK MY TRICK IS THE WAY I SPACE MY Calcium (CARAMEL) CHEWS OUT THAT HELPS CRAVE MY HUNGER...9AM,2PM AND 8PM..WITH MY Multivitamin AT 5:30AM (EARLY RISER FOR WORK :) ).. HOPE THE HUNGER GETS BETTER FOR YOU..I JUST HOPE MY STALL PASSES.. B)

  2. We are here for you!!!! Everyone does not get it.. My family got together for anything and food was always the focal point...I was always the heavy sibling and thought i was comfortable with it but never talked about my weight to anyone because it was okay... for them... 20yr struggle and 3 yrs research I decided to take this journey... I spoke about it on occasion to a couple family members and friends and negative city started..oh my gosh  ... So i stopped talking about it and started talking to God and my doctors (surgeon team and PCP). My health was becoming an issue and Feb.16th I started the insurance requirements and Nov 9th was my date and I have NO REGRETS!!!! You have to make this life journey for you (won't be easy and you will have stalls but your determination..yes I'm claiming it...your determination will win) and they will come around...if not...look in the mirror and say ..YOU GO GIRL !!!!!! I GOT THIS!!!! :D Good Luck !!!!!!!

  3. Yes the taste buds are going haywire after surgery. I am 6 weeks out and just now getting some taste buds adjusted. If you take Calcium chews try and space them out..they help me with the sweet taste (1500 daily so I take at 9am, 2pm and 8pm) it seems to help (love the caramel but they have other flavors) and then if necessary sugar free Popsicle. Good luck with everything and yes 8lbs is great...Just think of it this why....could you have lost that much in 1 week before surgery...That is how i look at it, don't compare your journey with others (just learn from them) :)

Welcome to the Losers Club!!!!! :D

  4. I'm going g to respond and hope this is the last post. Here's the deal. I was having a really hard day. I didn't cheat preop and didn't cheat post op. I didn't have a 2 week plan and was trying to figure it out on my own (this has since been resolved) I asked if I could "suck" on a bugle to make it mushy. I asked of it was ok. Period. Two people responded incredibly judgmental and harsh. I then got several vets that DMd me saying it was OK....move on and don't do it again. I got hyper sensitive to the person that was really harsh. I shouldn't have done that.... I'm usually not so frail. But I was for that moment. I got some serious slamming and downright nasty comments. The next day I made an apology. It should have been over. BUT people took to this site(SUPPORT SITE) to make fun of me, ridicule me and say i was ruining the plan for most people. Blah blah blah. Here's the deal. I'm not. I made A mistake. I learned and I have moved on. I laugh about most things but being a jerk to people trying to get support isn't funny. We ALL had this surgery for a reason and we ALL should be in this together. I won't make the mistake of doing what I did and I hope people are kinder when someone comes on and asks a stupid question again. To the people saying they are blocking newbies shame on you! Why be in a support group if youre here to shame people. End of discussion. Time to move on.

  5. Hope I keep finding post to uplift people on this site n not tear people down (there really is a difference between a joke n making someone out to ridicule because as humans we all do things we regret..whether its food or life

Experiences.. Some are stronger than others..cuddos to you... but other (I have my faults) peoples weaknesses should not be frowned upon because you got this and they struggle...I wish everyone the best In this journey and every obstacle they face...

  6. I read it all. It's fine everyone needs something to laugh at. I apologized this am. If people are still making fun of me it's fine... I had a really bad day yesterday if it brings humor, name-calling so be it. I learned a lot from it all. It is supposed to be supportive I agree.

Don't hesitate to vent on your journey..this process is hard for ALL of us..some handled it different but it doesn't make them better..I'm sure we all tried something we shouldn't have during our process ..no matter where in the process we are..some just in the closet with it..Best of luck to you..and keep on BP to read the answers you seek..

  7. Thanks for the input guys....

To be honest...when I decided to do the surgery I didn't even consider the sleeve.

I thought of the gastic bypass, and it kinda made me nervous... cutting out part of your stomach...lol.

I wish I would have found this site 3 months ago instead of post op.

But.... the band is in, and I have to work with the band tolose my weight.

    All good.

I will just have to be one of those success stories we read on the Lap Band pages....lol.

    Have A Great Day!!!!

That choice worked for you and if you are doing great...YAY...either way..band,bypass or sleeve..WELCOME TO THE LOSERS CORNER!!!!

  8. I'm 4 weeks out and I stalled 3wks in and at my month f/up I lost 29.8 lbs (I'm calling it 30lb), dieticians says we will go through a lot of stalls as our diet change and activities.. I don't weigh myself as often as you so because the scale stresses me out..always have..only weigh once a week but I can tell in my clothes more than anything..down in inches and a pants size..:D that excited me more than that scale!

  9. I chose the sleeve because I researched for 3yrs on a procedure n struggled 20yrs on my weight..My decision for permanent was a 3yr process..the thought of a plastic to stop me from eating n periodic tightening just didnt sit right with me..any decision you make..make it for you and what you can live with...good luck to you..
