Easiest psych clearance!
Yes...600!!! She sat with me and asked me some questions and then I was taken to a different room where I had to take a 600 question written test. The kind you take in school where you fill in the bubble...lol 600???geesh she asked about 10 and that was it!! Sent from my SM-G530T using the BariatricPal App

Intermittent pain on left side of abdomen
I was having the same issue. The way it feels to me is like if you were running and got what I call a stitch in your side. It doesn't happen as often as it did when I first had the surgery. Mine is usually when I am being active...walking around shopping, etc. I was thinking maybe gas also.

In debt for surgery
@bayougirlmrsc If you lived in Georgia I would swear that he was living a double life...lol We have been married 24 1/2 years. It's totally crazy that your husband threw your marriage away after 26 years because you improved for yourself. I hope it doesn't come down to that for me. I may eventually ask him about counseling if it continues but I am sure that he won't think that he needs it. I am not doing this for a man (him or any other man!)...I am doing this for ME!!! I absolutely hated the way I looked and was totally depressed. I felt embarrassed to go out because I always felt like everyone was looking at me and wondering "What the hell is he doing with her?" My self esteem had hit rock bottom and I can't wait for it to soar!

In debt for surgery
@bayougirlmrsc That's the funny thing...my insurance covered mine also so it's costing me about 2,000 as well. He seems to think that I am going to loose the weight and find someone else which is another punch in the gut because that's like saying you can't find anyone else now because you are fat (that's how it makes me feel). Now he has never been one to talk about my weight or degrade me...he has always been respectful of that. He knew that I hated myself at my size so he would always encourage me to exercise and diet. I'm not sure what the difference is now that I am doing it with the help of surgery. He has been real supportive of the way that I have had to eat since surgery. I just think it is an insecurity and I hope it doesn't get worse. I was 125 pounds when I met him so if I wanted him when I was that small why would that change when I get small again. I don't understand the logic.

In debt for surgery
Wondering how things go for those that don't really have any one on there side to help and guide you. I seam to be having some issues with the way my husband is reacting to my lap band surgery. I am honestly proud of myself. I have not made it a long way but just enough to feel good. I keep getting the price of my surgery thrown up in my face. I have so many other bills but have chose to make sure that I pay this one first. I honestly don't want to feel like I owe anyone. Wondering if anyone else feels the same way???

No weight loss
@banded_beauty How much have you lost all together? I see you had surgery a day after I did. Don't get me wrong...I am happy with any weight loss but was hoping it would go faster. I have lost 24 lbs to date (including post op).

No weight loss
I totally feel your pain. I went to the doctor yesterday and had only lost 3 pounds the last 4 weeks. I was so disappointed. Got my first fill yesterday also and still have no restriction. I am trying to hang in there.

First fill next week
@Banded_Beauty.... I totally feel your pain. I just had my first fill today but I have felt like I could eat anything. I had no restriction whatsoever. I only got 2cc today so I am not sure that is going to do much either. I have to wait 3 days before I can eat again and hope I may have some restriction. Hopefully you will do better after your 2nd fill.

You know you are doing something right
I am just starting out (banded 10/31/16) but I am here today because of someone that I know that was banded 2 years ago. I have tried numerous diets, diet pills, WL doctors, you name it! When I saw how successful she was and talked to her about it...I started doing my research. Can't wait to see where this journey takes me.

New to the banded life
Is there a reason you didn't follow the liquid diet? I am surprised that you didn't get really sick as this is done to let your body heal.

Tomorrow is my big day!

Low carb
Still waiting (impatiently) on my first fill.

First fill
47 pounds is amazing at 4 weeks post op!!! Congrats!

More difficult than I thought
Hang in there. It does get better. I was banded 10/31/16 and like you the weight just didn't fall off like I thought it would. I haven't lost anything in the last 3 weeks but I am hoping it will get better after my fill. It is so hard watching everyone eat what you can't. I even hated to see fast food commercials!! I went through depression the first 2 weeks. I missed food more than I ever thought I would. I am sure that it will be worth it in the end. You are not alone...just hang in there.

Low carb
It's been the same for me. I haven't found anything that I ate that bothered me. I know they say that this is just a "tool" but I am with you. If I was going to diet constantly we could do that without the band...lol My sister-in-law has had her band for 2 years. According to her it took a while for her to start loosing weight and then once she did it just fell off. She claims that she eats anything she wants except bread because it gets stuck. She just has smaller portions of course. No negative comments needed bandsters...lol
