  1. Hey y'all I was sleeved on 25th of October so 3 wks out tomorrow..Was pleasantly surprised at how good I felt after surgery..I was fortunate enough not to have any gas, or vomiting came home the day after surgery ..

I have had a few bouts of diarrhea but doing great otherwise.

I am down 26.7 pounds and not really hungry, feeling good and I drink constantly sipping Water so no problem with fluids.

Good luck with your journey and hope it goes well for you all

  2. Second week decaf..Although when I first met my surgeon I went home immediately started making small changes to prepare for surgery.

First I went got a can of half calf coffee mixed it with reg coffee then went totally to half calf added Decaf until I was totally decaf.

Also went from whole milk to 2%, and now at 1%!

I didn't want to be in culture shock after surgery believe me it helps also went from white bread to 100% whole wheat (hardly ate bread by day of surgery.June to October made a lot of changes...

  4. I did some weird stuff ,I knew in case of something going wrong my husband of 44 years would be lost!!

So I being the financial person in our house I made sure all bills were current, made a calendar with what has to be paid and on what day .

I wrote letters for my 2 daughters,4 grandchildren and my husband.!! Never wanting to leave anything unsaid!

In the letter to my husband I put a place for where specific Life insurance documents were in our house!!

Kinda getting things in order so to speak, I didn't think bad thoughts about surgery but I feel being prepared is always better.

I told my husband where the letters were and to take care of my girls and grandchild...

I went into surgery knowing I had made sure he could handle everything!!

Morbid???No just experienced a lot of losses as many as 8 family members in 1 year

and nothing is worse than grieving and not being prepared!!Anyway I couldn't drink after midnight so I set my alarm for 11:45 got up and drank my last diet pepsi!!

    Good luck with your journey!!

  5. I have no problem getting in my 64oz as I am constantly drinking something. My biggest fear after surgery was they would limit my intake of fluids due to the smaller pouch but have done remarkably well!!

I am 2weeks after surgery and dwn 23.4 pounds haven't had any issues with nausea no vomiting and So sorry to hear that some people have a really hard time..
