I was march 4th and just had my first fill. I must say that banding was the best thing I've ever done and look forward to a wonderful life ahead of me!

i have a 10 cc band and mine too came with 3cc's at surgery and then they added 2cc's at my first fill which was 4 weeks after surgery. -

i just had my first fill this past monday which was 4 weeks from my surgery. i had 2cc's added to the 3cc's that were already in my 10cc band. i feel fantastic. i think i'm at the sweet spot and hope it lasts a longgg time! -

1 day post op is hard - but every day you will start to feel better. i am 4 weeks post and feel fantastic. but - i remember the first day out...it was not exactly the most pleasant of times. but know that the future looks ooh so bright! -

i was the same way 2 weeks out - no restriction and wanting to eat EVERYTHING! only difference is that i had total support from my doc. but - i did eat everything that fell into the stage i was in (liquid, mushy, etc). Now that I'm 4 weeks out and just got my first fill i'm feeling restriction - but had NONE before the fill. until you have your fill, the time is to take care of your band, not to lose weight. :huh2: -

i think all of us had this feeling on the pre-op. you are not alone at all. until you get the band and your first fill it's no different than the rest of your life which for me, has been a huge struggle. now that i've been filled, i'm full full full with just a few bites. it's pure bliss! -
What worries you (or worried you) about getting banded?

my only concern was something going wrong with the band and the cost to get it fixed...i'm self-pay. but the benefit far outweighs the cost - and i'm only 4 weeks in!
